RE: Polished or Powder-coated FastGuns

I have powder coated. I'm kinda rough on mine as I toss them around. Still holding on. The powder coat is more durable than the frame mounts. By the way, sweet ride in your signature pic. I had the same ride in the red and white two tone. Sure do wish I would've keep it.

RE: Scissor steps

Pics of how you secure would def help too.

Scissor steps

I have a set of scissor steps that as of now I remove before I travel and store inside. Not a huge deal but for storage reasons I think it would be nice to have them permanently mounted. My question is will they travel this way with out them falling down or more importantly will they cause damage to the camper structure as they bounce going down the road. I was concerned that the mounting screws would pull out of the frame. I was even thinking about using a nylon strap with the plastic clips kind of like on a book bag to secure or wrap around them during transit. Thanks for the help.

RE: Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy what a day

What I did is put two eye bolts on each side of the camper, extraordinarily sealed, to which I attach a tarp with carbiners. This can attach to either side of the camper as needed. Add a couple of poles and stakes to make a place to store stuff. Too often this awning is not really in a useful area, like over the picnic table. For that we use an easy up or just another tarp, depending on the setting. We camp almost exclusively in WA,BC and AK so we camp in the rain quite a lot. The extra dry spot is great. It is very quick, the carbiners stay hooked to the tarp, so it's just two climbs up the step ladder, clip them on, put up the poles at the other corners, stake or tie them off and it's done. Replacing the tarp is as cheap and easy as picking up another 'blue sky' at Walmart. We need a picture :) X2

RE: Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy what a day

Shop Eddies is false. It took me 3 days to get the money back in my account.

RE: Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy what a day

Hope you have better luck than me. I had the same problems as the original poster. I tried twice. Both put a hold on my money for 3 days and of coarse it was a mistake pricing.

RE: Outdoor speakers

How much area is between the ceiling and roof on a TC? Just wondering how much room there is to tap into existing speakers and fish wires to back?

Outdoor speakers

I have a 2007 Lance 815 and was wondering if anyone has added any exterior speakers. If so where did you connect the wires and where'd you hide the wires? If so could you post some pics? Thanks.

RE: 2014 Project report, Stove removal... Electric mod

Sleepy, my favorite part of the stove top is bleeding the gas line so that my refigerator will start! Same here!

RE: Leveling TC?

Thanks! I was thinking pretty much what most of you guys are. Get it pretty much level and fine tune with jacks taking the weight off the suspension.

Leveling TC?

I am curious if I can use my electric jacks to level camper while still attached to truck when camping. Or should I just use them to stabilize camper? My old camper had manual jacks so I never tried. My new camper has electric jacks so I thought I may use them more. Thanks
