RE: Anyone ever regret upgrading

I went for broke the first time around!
Ditto! Bought the "retirement" coach 9 years ago and will be retiring in June. I've worked out all the bugs, made many modifications and since it was my first RV I have learned how to drive it and use all its systems correctly.

RE: Mountain Driving - Houston to Yellowstone

Isn't Teton Pass just 10%? I would go over and not worry.
Be cautious and go slow and should have no trouble IMO.
Did it twice in my 40' MH with jeep in tow. For me 90% of my travels are in the western mountain states so no big deal.

RE: Road to Taos NM

Some grades but nothing that will prevent you from enjoying the drive. Nice drive through Cimarron canyon. Good luck.
x2. Great drive and I am 40' with a jeep in tow.

RE: No more CPAP

Took me 5 days to get used to my CPAP device and 8 years later still using it. I saw 4 specialists who each had the same conclusion, CPAP. Turns out my issue is more complicated than movement of the jaw forward. The mouthpiece device would be nice. Good for you if it works.

RE: After market auto start for generator

I installed the Onan EC-30 Automatic Generator Controller. We travel with pets and we wanted to make certain that the a/c units would still function if shore power was lost while we were away form the coach. It was easy to install and it works great. It can also be set to auto-start the genset if your house batteries start to get low voltage. It has a lot of nice features.
x2. Great product.

RE: Your favorite RV gadget?

While most people have a flashlight, Harbor Freight has a light on sale (talked about in another thread recently) that is a flashlight and a floodlight. It has a hook to hang it from something and a magnet as well. About $3 if I remember correctly. I have a couple and use them all the time.

RE: So how many wax their units?

Wax my 40' MH every three months using an orbital polisher. I do the roof once a year.

RE: A dog with motion sickness

My Basenji hates the car - talks the whole time. As soon as he sees the MH he runs to the door, gets in ASAP, runs back onto the bed and then right to his crate under the dinning table. He wants the crate door closed while the MH is moving. Never says a word until I stop then he wants out.

RE: Wholesales Warranties Good or bad

Through Jeff Shelton? If so, yes from me. Now on my second 4 year cycle with Jeff and all has been very good. Claimed more than the cost of the policy and no issues getting issues covered.

RE: Retire?

Close for me. I bought my coach when I was 53. I'm now 61 and I retire in June. But I do believe that a very large percent (?) of Class A owners are retired.

RE: Who parks their RV at home or do you pay for storage?

I pay for indoor secured full service storage ($270/month)it's 40 miles from my house. To store by my house, $500/month. City ordinance prevents parking at my house due to size.

RE: Windshield drapes

You might want to consider MCD Duo shades. The shade are made with a day and a night shade in one unit. Can be gotten with or without power option. link: http://mcdinnovations.com/index.php/american-duo
x2. That's what I went to, installed them myself. I hated those curtains. Now I have a great full window sun shade as well as a nightime shade.
