RE: Tips on planning a Hwy 1 trip from SoCal to OR next summer

If you are going to stay at Winchester Bay, you need to visit Ungers for great fish and chips and coconut shrimp.

Camp site length

A few months back I had asked on this forum about campsite lengths in state parks in Oregon. I had asked that if it says 30 feet, does it mean the site is 30' or does it mean that you can have a trailer that is 30'. People had responded that they thought it meant the site was for a 30 foot trailer. Let me tell you from personal experience that it means the site is only 30' long. It is not easy parking a 28' trailer and a full sized truck in a 30' site.

Camp site size?

Looking at state park campgrounds in Oregon, when it says vehicle length of 30 feet, does that mean your trailer and tow vehicle together cannot exceede 30 ft or does that mean your trailer cannot exceede 30 ft?

Camping near Coos Bay and Lincoln Oregon

Planning on staying near Coos Bay for 3 or 4 days and then 3 or 4 days near Lincoln City the middle of Sept. Would prefer to stay in State Parks with hookups. Suggestions on best places to stay and places that we should avoid. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

My question is, what route would be the best and were around Coos bay would you recommend we stay and places that are a must to see. There are two rigs a 26 ft trailer and a 30 ft 5th wheel. Thanks
