RE: wintering south

We also inquired about leaving a unit US side, instead of bringing it back to Canada. Our insurance broker did not think it was a problem, until I asked her to confirm in writing from the insurance company the same question, They said no...there is a limit on insurance coverage when out of country.

RE: Anyone staying @ La Hacienda RV resort in Apache Junction ?

Perhaps Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort would be more for what your looking for. Very active park in Casa Grande.

RE: While on the road

I dont see what your travelling in, but with us our Bighorn and Cameo are good for heat and condensation. (cooking creates some moisture)We have always stayed in our units. We put the heat on as soon as we stop, and the fireplace.Winter camping is kinda fun. We also carry water in jugs and a jug of antifreeze. We use both in the sink and bathroom. We have hit all kinds of weather going south, usually by the 3rd night we are clear from snow. PM me if youhave any questions. Safe travels.

RE: Are we gonna be limited

The first couple of times we went south we left early Feb. also. We never had a problem finding a place to stay. In Vegas, my choice is the Oasis. Enjoy your trip...and dont worry.

RE: Dog food

We had for the first time ever a bag confiscated last year the the border. It had goat in it and as soon as he asked, I told him it had goat in the blend. We had just bought the bag an 2 hours before that. Its my own fault, I knew the lamb was an issue - just completely forgot. Its been on the prohibt list for a few years. And its about protection for the agriculture world. They told me to phone the border the day we were crossing to verify anything in question. They were very nice about it.

RE: Went to Hershey RV show yesterday, and

Yes, I agree. We looked in one a few weeks back and loved it. The printed brochure just arrived a few days ago and very impressive. We love out unit, but they have fine tuned the Lifestyle from the Cameo. Would not hesitate to buy one if we were looking to change. There are some people on the forum who have made the change and they seem pretty happy.

RE: SNOWBIRDING ARIZONA

Check out Palm Creek Rv park in Casa Grande . The best park we have been in !! We have wintered here for 9 Years . Look at there specil deals also. Palm Creek was really over rated and has but one pool and one hot tub for the 1800 or so people. Far better just down the road and the people seemed much more friendly go to rvreviews. Just for a slight correction on info: Palm Creek has 2 pools and 2 hot tubs.

RE: Rv storage in Florida

I think its a great idea. When you are working you have to create your own adventures in short time frames sometimes, but those are often where to most fun is had. Try it, if you dont like it, change something up or take your unit home. Rving is an adventure and only you can decide if your having fun. A lot of people on this forum will have some ideas for you - pick an area and explore it through research and it will all come together for you.

RE: Considering new rig///suggestions

We just recvd the printed brochure from Lifestyle RV. They are the company that are producing replicas of the Carriage line which is now gone. They have a model LS32FW which might fit your plans. It has 2 slides and 1 is full wall. Nice looking units - when we look at them its looks like our unit - but they are oferring some better options. If we decide to change units - this is the line we would buy. Webesite is hard to find sometimes -LIFESTYLELRV.COM

RE: phoenix, palm springs, san diego, las vegas

Never say never when your looking for Rv Resorts or Parks. They always get last minute cancelations....since your planning on moving every week or 2. The first winter we went south, we went with no reservations at all. Just winged it. Had no problem finding sites for short periods. It was a blast! Oasis in Vegas, Terribles in Pahrump, Lake Havasu (cannot remember the new park there), Palm Creek Rv Resort in Casa Grande, there are so many nice places, have fun! And dont panic over reservations.

RE: Camping near Spokane or Coeur d'Alene

Mockturtle - Thats a good choice. (I do wonder how it is doing since they had an auction there I believe 2 years ago. I think the park had gone into receivership.) BUt we enjoyed the golf there also. The sites are generous in size and spaced nicely apart.

RE: Cameo cloned Lifestyle 5th wheels

The website is hard to access. Even putting in Lifestyle, you come up with dealers that your not interested in. So, hopefully they can correct something there for the consumer.

RE: Cameo cloned Lifestyle 5th wheels

I would love to take a factory tour. Might have to plan for that in the fall. All good points Farmer Dave. Very good changes. Still love our Cameo, but really like Lifestyle.
