RE: Anyone go from a Motorhome back to a TT?

We had a 32ft motorhome no slide about 6.5 mpg and now we have a 27ft tt with a slide and I think that there is more room and yes you do lose a lot of storage space but I did not know how much stuff I had and did not use it so now we think that we have only what we need and the other thing that we had to buy is tv to pull this tt but that was easy we traded our toad for this tv and now we get about 16 mpg, did we make the right decision, for us we think so and now we will be able to go more places.

weight

I had a 32 ft motorhome which I just sold and am looking for a tt. I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 quad cab with tow package 4.7 engine and a 355 rear end and am looking to buy a 29.9 shasta tt which weighs 6450 dry weight and can load out with over 3000 lbs., which I will never put that much in a tt, I did not have that much in my motorhome, about 1000 lbs and maybe not ever that much. Thank you for your thoughts. Will be changing my name latter and will be on this site from now on. God Bless

5th wheel

I have a 32 ft motorhome now and am thinking of changing maybe going to a 5th wheel but do not know what size my truck will be able to haul. I have a Dodge ram quad cab 1500, 2 wheel drive with a 4.7 with gvwr 6650, it also has a tow package, 5 speed automatic. Thank you for any advice you can share to help me and wife make up our minds.

RE: Best TOAD for 4 Down Towing?

can you not tow any kind of car or pickup as long as the drive shaft is disconected from the rear end, because there is nothing turning execpt for the rear end. I don't know but it sounds good. Happy Traveling May God Bless All

RE: mystery noise front end.

Thank you all for responding to my post. My generator is behind the driver side rear tire. The exhaust is secured and no rattles. The rims have not been changed. New tires summer of 2011, they were inflated to corredt psi. There are no loose panels in any of the basements. Weighed the rig, fron to back and side to side, no overload. Looks like I have to find someone with a lift. Happy Traveling God Bless Eugene

mystery noise front end.

I have a 1994 Georgie Boy F53 chassis 32 ft,class A. I have installed air bags, new shocks, new stablelizer bar gromments front and rear, new tires 85 psi. When I am driving and hit a bump I am hearing a sound that is similar to it bottoming out but it's not, the rig has leaf springs, this noise sounds like it is comming from the left front, have been under the rig with a flashlight looking for something but can not find anything out of place. Any ideas as to what the noise can be. Appreciate any help. Happy traveling God Bless Eugene
