RE: How long is too long to tow?

ej, Nice sarcasism but seriously your are under in your tongue weight. If you are really at 8000 pounds trailer weight, the tongue should be 10-15 percent or 800 to about 1200 pounds. Good luck and happy towing. i might be light or maybe i'm not i got no sway at all with no sway bar hooked up doing 60 to 65 with semis flying bye me and in all honesty my whole rig really didnt move much even with cross winds .....i know with my old pop up if i had the tongue eight off bye say maybe 25 30 pounds then it would make for a very long miserable ride the darn thing would sway at 45 mph and it was a 12 foot box that weighed close to 3k

RE: Sewer Coupler

As skinnchar states, they will rust if not aluminum (our was alum). We had a last resort section stored in the rear bumper and our most used piece here. This was a piece of 4" and we could get the coupler with the bayonet fittings inside. Access from both ends. http://members.cox.net/bruce.wittmeier/images/SewerStorFront.jpg Each of these fittings on the hoses would fit inside the 4" PVC. The large 'L' would not. http://members.cox.net/bruce.wittmeier/images/DSC01922.JPG wittmeba do you have any other pictures or explain how you mounted the pvc ??? thanks Eric

RE: Lube WD hitch bars?

i have a tube of syn wheel bearing grease for when i repack the wheel bearings (every year bye the way) that i use on the trunion contact (friction) points and the balls hitch and sway ,works well and its easy to wipe of with a paper towel (just dont get it on your clothes) the old reese heads had oil holes in them and if i remeber correctly there was a stamping that said oil regulary

RE: Backing up your pop-up !

Seems hard to believe. With no AC unit, I can see right over the top of my pup which makes backing her into my garage a breeze. How many of you guys can back your TT into your garage? See, pups are easier to back! ;) Easier to back no way ..... Easier to store heck yeah i used to be able to paralel park our old starcraft but only because it was so short i could probably do it with the TT too but i would need the whole block to move their cars

RE: Camping with kids - buying a new TT - bunks or not?

we have 6 kids (look at sig) we do not have a bunkhouse but the 3 older ones will almost always sleep in a tent and if its too cold or rainig then theres always the floor as long as you have sleeping bags ...... the kids really dont seem to mind the floor they say it is still better and more room than the PUP...my advice is to just try your hardest to picture your family in a certain floor plan

RE: URGENT PROBLEM: Can't get the bed to slide back in

With out pup one of the bunks went across the door opening. There was a cureved peice of metal that allowed the bunk to go up into the opening on the other side of the door. Well the kids would some times take the curved peice of metal out because well a 2 year old and one year old can do this. anyway if they did it then when I slid the bunk in the corner would drop down and hit the side of the dooe frame and not go into the opening it was supposed to thus would not close. Could be something as simple as this. Hmmmmm this sounds odly familar on my old starcraft always needed 2 people to push in the front bunk
