RE: Where to buy or repair a leaky leveling jack

When removing the jack, remove all but one bolt, then remove the hydraulic line. The ram will probably drop down on its own, then remove the last bolt. Be careful, when the last bolt comes out the oil fitting will spit oil out. When I replaced the assembly I used a floor jack to lift it and hold it in place while I installed the first bolt. The rest was easy. These are self bleeding jacks. Just extend and retract the jacks a few times and you are ready to go.

RE: Rincon Parkway Ca, Max 5'er length?

I believe all the sites are the same size and my 35 foot MH fits in with my Geo Tracker parked behind it. My Geo has to be parked straight in toward the ocean. I don't think a 40footer and truck coud fit. As you probably know the rangers are pretty strict that you must fit in the site.

RE: Homemade LED light "fixture"

I bought all my LED lights from superbrightleds.com They are good for up to 16 volts. I havent seen any difference beteen 12 volts or 14.0 volts. I use the bright white LEDs. I have them outside near my steps and for the sidelight and underhood. I replaced the small bulb they have to light the stove top with 4 4led blocks. I have some great light on the stove now. It was really dim before. I removed the flouresent light bulbs and inseted a wood block, routed out slots and inserted 60 led light bulbs which were mounted on a long board. I have light like never before and use much less power. Dry camping a lot I needed to save all I could.

RE: Leveling ability?

Never put (even) one of the rear wheels off the ground - the coach could slide over. In spite of all the warning people give about the refrigerator, I've not met anyone who killed theirs by being off level. I agree about the bubble-float circle - if the bubble is partly in the circle, you're probably fine. I killed my refrigerator by having my MH off level too much. Just last month I have had to remove my frig and buy a new boiler section and install it. I won't be using my MH off level again, it's too costly.

RE: Guess i don't understand it

I want something similar too as I would like something smaller than a laptop to use when watching TV and I think of something I'd like to look up and not have to get the laptop out or come to the PC and miss my show! Also think the size would be handy for traveling. We don't have smartphones, so I'm thinking of getting an iPod Touch or something similar that I can connect to the router,or use wifi on when we are on a trip. IPod is a music player. Ipad or tablets are for wifi. Personally i like my small Acer Avia from Walmart. It is a small lightweight computer. Very easy to carry and has a keyboard. Good for us who are not up on the latest technology. I use my ipad for a lot of things, including listening to music, so it is a music player. I can also load lots of albums on my ipad and I can send some music to the icloud if I download too much ( I havent yet).

RE: Leveling ability?

I am parked in my driveway right now and my front tires are about 6" off the ground. I am using 9" blocks under the levelers. I can raise the RV a lot higher on these blocks.

RE: 150 psi portable compressor

The PSI doesnt mean anything. The compressor pictured supplies 0.6cubic feet per minute at 90 psi. It would take you all morning to fill up a 225 75 19.5 tire. You need to look at the cfm numbers and look for something that would put out at least 4 cfm at 90psi. You would work this compressor to a quick death running it more than 30 minutes while trying to fill your tires. I think you clicked on the 100psi unit that sells for $40 How can you san PSI doesn't mean anything. If you have a tire that requires 110 lbs and you only have a unit that does 100 or less you are defeating your purpose. Get a unit that exceeds what you need by a bit, that way you won't be caught short. I said what I said. PSI is a pressure CFM stands for cubic air per minute. If you have a unit putting out 0.5 CFM at 90 lbs then you would burn up most oilless units before you could fill a good size tire. Most oil less compressors have a duty cycle of 50% so filling up a large tire will put you over the safe percentage of use.

RE: Honda 2000i Generator, how long do they last

I left one of my Honda's sit for about 6 months and pulled the start rope about 20 times. Still couldn't get it started until I noticed that I didn't turn the ignition switch to start. Then it started right away. My Honda's are about 10 years old. I use them while camping and around the house doing yard work. Only changed the plugs once and one had a bad start switch that Honda replaced. I change the oil about every 100 hours with synthetic oil.

RE: 20 amp thru wall

Last time I needed another power source I ran a plug in next to the slide out. The rubber seal went right around it and I had no problems.

RE: Wheel ?

I have 13" tires on my small trailer and they have a 80 psi tire and wheel on them. You can find 80 psi tires and rims in almost any size if you look for them. Your 15" rims might be only rated for 65 psi since they came from the TT manufacturer. They don't usually spend any more money than they have to and the higher psi rims would cost more.

RE: How long is 30 feet? Need California help

I have used many of the state parks here in Calif. My MH is 35 feet. I havent had a problems yet with the length of the campsites or with the roads. I did have a ranger ask me what the length of my TT was a few years ago at Carpenteria State beach. I told hin 34 feet. They have a 30 foot max. He gave me a longer site. Some state parks will allow you. You should call ahead.

RE: Help! My 2009 Honda EU2000i won't start

Mike. If your not getting any spark it will not help to clean the carburator. You have to disconnect the wire from the on/off switch and check for spark again. The Honda 2000i runs by itself. The on/off switch shorts out the coil stopping the spark to the motor.

RE: Help! My 2009 Honda EU2000i won't start

If there is no spark it could be the on/off switch. If you open the case you will find a small wire on the lower right going to the switch. There is a connector on the wire. Split the wire so it does not go to the on/off switch and then check for spark. If you have spark then you can pull start the generator. You have to put the wire back together to turn the generator off.

RE: Honda 2000 Assistance Appreciated

Never put your Honda directly on the dirt while running. The air intake is on the bottom and can suck dust into the on/off switch disabling the switch. Carry a small piece of carpeting with you to pace the Honda on. I had to have the switch replaced by Honda, that's what they told me.
