RE: hershey rv show

We went to the show last year and stayed in the Thousan Trails Hershey park which is only about 10-15 minutes away from the park. It was a nice park and believe it or not, was not that busy during that timeframe. We plan to stay again this year.

We stay at Spring Gulch usually twice a year and love it. Very nice campground with lots of space. As a previous poster stated, 1500 sites are were we stay.

Review - Timothy Lake South CG, Poconos, PA

Hey all. We just returned from a few days camping @ Timothy Lake South in East Stroudsburg, PA. We have recently become 1000 Trails members by the way of the Zone Camping Pass and decided to take a trip to Timothy Lake during the kids spring break vacation. I decided to start a blog where I will be reviewing most of the 1000 Trails North East campgrounds this summer. My first post is up and is a review (with pics) of the Timothy Lake South campground. Check it out at My Blog. Enjoy!

RE: Rip Van Winkle

Hello. We have not been there for two years, but when we were there, it was a very nice place. Nice staff, clean bathrooms. They have a small lake where you can rent peddle boats. Most of the sites were nice size and level. Not sure if it has changed in two years, but maybe check www.rvparkreviews.com to see if there are any updates.

Bubbles on Roof of new TT

Hello all. I have a quick question. I purchased a 2013 Keystone Passport 2910BH in September. A few days ago, I took off the cover and was inspecting the roof when I noticed in the middle of the roof there were sections were the white rubber membrane had small bubbles (half dollar size) in several places. Is this OK? Should I have this looked at by a service dealer? My old Rockwood Roo's roof never had bubbles and was tight to the roof. It is still under warranty, but the service dealer is 1 and 1/2 hours away and would rather not take the trip just for them to tell me this is normal.
Thanks in advance for your comments.
Regards,
JT

RE: knoebles or lake glory campground

We stay every year in late August and we stay at Knoebels CG. We like the idea of just walking to the park when we want and not having to worry about a shuttle or driving there from another park. The bathrooms and showers are so clean that we only use the toilet in our travel trailer, so can easily last the 5 days we are there without a problem. They also have water spigots all over, so we take our very long hose and just run it over to fill up our fresh water if we wind up needing it. Again, to each his/her own, but we like the convenience of just walking to and from the park.

RE: bumper bbq mounts

My travel trailer came with the BBQ mount on the back bumper already with it's own grill, but from what I have heard, the BBQ is horrible. I already have a coleman road trip grill and wonder if billsbbq would have a mount for that.

RE: Kid Friendly Northeast CG's For Summer 2014?

I would recommend Knoebels in Elysburg, PA, but they have only electric sites I believe. You can fill up water on your way in at the camp store and use the dump station before you leave. We have been going every August for the past three years and my kids (now 10-7) cannot wait to go back every year. Best place we have been to so far.

RE: thinking about buying a Keystone - Passport

We purchased the 2013 2910BH back in September and love it. Cannot wait for it to get warmer so we can take it out again. No issues so far.

RE: Roadside Scales

Question about topic. If the sign says closed, can you still go in and weigh? I have never weighed my setup (truck and trailer) but want to in April, but never knew if I was supposed to go in the scales. I figured the trucks would be pissed I am holding them up from getting paid :)

Thousand Trails Zone Camping Pass FHU Site Availability

Hello all. I know there has been several threads on the forum about the zone camping pass. And I know some like it and some don't. My question to all who have it is this..... Do you find it an issue getting a full hookup site during non-holiday weekends? I am leaning towards getting the pass because for our family, it would be beneficial. However, the last hurdle I need to jump is to understand if I will have a hard time getting hookups. That is a deal breaker if every time I go camping, I have to park in a field with no hookups. Not worth it then. Please chime in if you stay in Thousand trails and if you often get hookups or not. Thanks in advance!!!

RE: My Dilemma

I have an 09 F-150 XLT Supercab 4x4 with 3.73 axle ratio. I pull a 2013 2910BH just fine. I have the equalizer WD hitch with the 1000/10000 and a 1000 lb ball. I do feel it going up hill, but as long as I got a good start, no issues. Breaking has been no issue either. I just picked up the trailer in September of 2012, so I have not weighed in yet, but plan to do so in April before we head out for the first time this season. I am not sure of your exact F-150, but I have no issues.

RE: Moving on up

Congrats. We did the same thing back in September. Had a Rockwood Roo 23B and traded it in and got a new Keystone Passport 2910 travel trailer. Love not having the tent ends. So much warmer inside.
Have fun and good luck with it.

There is also a thousand trails Hershey park that we stayed in this past September and it was very nice. Clean, spaces were large, could not find a thing wrong with it.

New 2013 Keystone Passport 2910BH Walk Through Videos

Hey all. If anyone is interested, I posted three videos of our new 2013 Keystone Passport 2910BH travel trailer. One is the exterior walk through and two interior walk throughs. I figured anyone interested in the camper would like to see everything on video. I remember when we were looking for campers, we would have loved a nice walk through video. Either way, below are the links.
1. Exterior - Exterior Walk Through
2. Interior 1 - Interior Part I
3. Interior 2 - Interior Part II

Picked up new 2013 Keystone passport today

Picked up my new Keystone Passport 2910BH that we purchased at the Hershey RV show in PA. What an amazing experience. Never have been treated so nicely. They had a makeshift office in a Holiday Inn not far from Hershey Park. I dropped my old RV off in the parking lot with my truck attached. I went inside and signed some final paperwork. They then drove me in the golf cart up to my new rig and I was given the walk through by a very knowledgeable tech. After the very thorough walk through, I was brought back down to get my temp license plate. While I did this, they had a mobile detailer come and wash my entire rig. The moved my truck up to the new camper, removed my weight distribution hitch from my old camper, and also removed my power tongue jack. Then, they installed both the jack and hitchwork on my new RV. Everyone I met was so nice and I was treated great. They threw in a nice starter kit (even though I had all the stuff already)and black streak remover. My hitch ball was 2" and the new trailer was 2 5/8th, so they swapped out the ball without even asking for money. All in all, a great experience. Thanks to all the camping world folks that helped me today and made a great experience. A+ Service!!!
