RE: Removing tub/adding walk in shower

You might be able to find a pan that will work dimension wise, either in an RV style or even a residential unit. Keep in mind that RV shower pans are also raised to accommodate the shower drain/ p-trap. You usually can't drop them any lower, to floor level, without running into drainage problems. The grey tank is very close to the floor, so there always going to be some step-up.

RE: PHMSA Orders Recall of Cylinders Made by Lite Cylinder

I have a couple from Clear View. They are manufactured by Ragusco in Fla. After reading the recall info on the Lite cylinders I went to the manufacturers website. Which states they are not involved in any recall. Their tanks are made without any seams. I will keep a watchful eye however. I do like the tanks, they are so much lighter.

RE: Full recall of Lite Cylinder clear tanks

Since I have two Fiberglas LP tanks this info was shocking. I found that mine were manufactured by Ragusco in Forida under the name of Clear View. A visit to their website states they are not under any recall and their tanks are not involved. Thanks for the heads up!

RE: DirecTV Receiver and Dish Help needed

You may need a B- band converter between the receiver and the dish. Not required for SWM. When I converted my non SWM HD to SWM I had to remove them.

RE: Help with these wheels......

If you go to the US Wheel website they give the technical specs for all their wheels. They don't give the PSI rating for some reason but do provide the load rating which will depend on the type and rim size. You might have to call them direct for pressure. Ratings.

RE: Back up camera. Are you happy with yours?

Purchased a complete system off ebay several years ago, wouldnt be without it now. I have an enclosed body truck so visibility to the rear is limited. Its a hardwired system with three cameras, one on the inside of the truck box, one on the rear of the truck, and one on the rear of the trailer.

RE: The road ate my cable ;-(

Do a search on "trailer wiring junction box", ' it makes the connection much easier. Check the E-trailer website for one source.

RE: How hard is it to put in a skylight?

Shouldn't be too difficult as long a you don't cut into any roof trusses, air conditioning vent ducts, or wiring. Removing the fan first should allow you to take a look inside the roof cavity for any obstructions. Once you've found a suitable place I would start by cutting/removing the inner ceiling panel first. Then drill a small hole in each corner up through the roof. On the roof, cut the membrane in an "X" pattern and fold it back. Cut out the roof panel, fold the membrane back inside and install the skylight/ fan and seal.

RE: Running generator on Natural Gas

My Yamaha generators run on gasoline/ LP/ Nat Gas. They are equipped with a load block in addition to the regulator with prime button. I don't think you can get a gas model to run efficiently on LP without a load block which allows for the air/ fuel mixture when running on LP.

RE: slide button cover?

I used a clear plastic bar soap case with a hinged lid I got at Walmart for $1. Remove switch and detach the three wires. Cut hole in case, run wires they hole and reattach to switch. Screw switch with case back onto wall. Fits perfect with my switch, yours may differ.

Wild Bills, Deadwood SD

Looking to hook up with a friend for Sturgis this August. He's booked a spot at Wild Bills in Deadwood. There aren't any reviews we can find and the website looks like a big grassy field. I know it's going to be crowded but having a rig that's 58 ft long I don't want to get jammed up. Anyone been there?

RE: Advice on shackle and equalizer replacement

I would verify that the Deter equalizer is the same dimension as the stock one you are replacing. Our Arctic Fox 30U came with the taller 13-10 equalizers. This resulted in a 1 1/2 inch drop in ride height and wheel well clearance. It worked OK for us but be forewarned. Trail Air I believe makes a direct replacement equalizer if its a problem.

Save some hassle and buy a new Male/ female complete coupling. There are several configurations available and the male ones from CW didn't fit my AF coupling.

RE: Progressive Electrical Management System, Hardwire HW50C

Have had one for five years, wouldn't be without one. Customer service has been outstanding. Would suggest you install it with plugs to allow for easy removal if ever needed. Ours started "humming" which required removal to replace the contacts, provided free by the company. Going thru the wiring process again wasn't fun. The remote display is beneficial for troubleshooting.

RE: water hose

We all drank water from a garden hose when we were kids and have survived so far. But, why would you not use a hose that is rated for drinking water now? It's not like they are expensive. Use the proper hose.

RE: Weber 100 with Low Pressure LP hose

I ran a comparison on my Weber using both regulators and then just the one, removing the Weber regulator. While the BBQ would work when running thru both regulators, it did at a reduced heat based on the temp gauge on the lid. I don't remember the numbers but the difference was substantial.

RE: Progressive Industies EMS-PT50C owners please comment

I would opt for the hard wired and install it with the plugs as you described. The hard wired version has the remote display which I find useful to monitor incoming voltage and status.

RE: Road hazard warranty

I never used to but I'm glad I did on the TT and would highly recommend it despite the high cost. I recently suffered two blowouts on my three year old Goodrich Commercial T/A's whitch also caused some minor body damage. Discount tire covered the tires since I had purchased their warranty. I ended up replacing all four with new Michelin XPS and again bought the warranty. Not cheap at $40 per tire, but neither are the tires at $300 each!
A three month battle with Michelin over the tire failures got me reimbursements for one tire and nothing for the body damage. Read your warranty carefully if you expect any coverage from the tire mfg after a failure, especially if there is other damage. Trailer tires not only carry a heavy load, the stress from lateral forces and impacts with road debris take a toll. After the hassle with Michelin, it's cheap insurance.
