RE: Tire help needed

Thanks for all the input. Going to give the Maxxis tires a try. Stock tires are E rates too and label on the trailer says max psi is 65 which must be the litaions of the wheels as the tire side wall indicates 80 psi max.

RE: Tire help needed

Found a place closer to the house that has the Maxxis tires. Getting those installed tomorrow afternoon.

Well did some checking and at discount tire they have the D-rated 15 inch Carlisles for $112 each. If purchased by tomorrow there is a $100 rebate on the purchase of four. Based on how often we use the trailer and the relatively short distances we go, I think we will just go that route as moving to 16s will be about 5x the cost for the purchase of 5 tires and wheels.

RE: Tire help needed

Just looked at the Maxxis E rated 15 inch tires on their site, the chart indicates max psi of 80. Can most 15 inch wheels handle that increase? Currently my specs for the trailer indicate a max psi of 65. Thanks for the input, it is very helpful.

Tire help needed

We decided at the last minute to make reservations out at Calico Ghost Town for the holiday weekend because of the expected cool weather. Pulled our 2007 WW FS2600 out from the side today and noticed one of the tires with some small chunks out of it. Though the tread is still good on the other tires I suspect they could soon follow. These are the stock 15 inch tires that originally came on the TH. Was thinking this might be a good time to change to 16 inch tires/wheels. So questions are: 1. Has anyone changed from 15 to 16s on one of these? It appears they should fit and I seem to recall that size being an option. 2. Any recommendations on what tires to get? 3. Any recommendations on where to get them at in the So. Cal. / OC area?
