I put myself under the truck and use a screw-wrench instead of the square tube in order to lower the tire ;-)

RE: Questions about Superduty and helper springs

hello @all:
may be that I will change to a 2010 RAM 3500 SRW.
I am really not sure, what to do or to make better respective stability.
At my actual Ram I installed KIB Monomax shocks (what I will do for sure to the 3500 Ram, too), rear swaybar, and Airlifts. So, together with my heavy Adventurer 825W all is right.
What should I do with the 3500 ??????
Is a swaybar necessary or alternativly stable loads (I am not convinced about their concept) and/or Airlifts.
The Ram - as you can see in the photo - only has 3 regular springs, and only one lower overload spring and thats all. I really don't know how this combination would work with a heavy camper.
Thanks for any advice !

@all: thanks a lot for all the lovely comments ! It's a pleasure for us to present you some details of Europe, which are not so easy to visit for you.
If there is any body who wants to plan a trip to Germany or Europe - like Robert from Australia - may contact us, so that we can give one or the other "trip tip" ;)

a trip report to the Bavarian Alps (lots of pics !)

...and it's NOT Disneyland.......... ;)
hello friends,
I would like to present you a trip report of our recent trip to Bavaria, the "kingdom of King Ludwig II".
It's not really a trip report because we didn't move much, but stayed mainly at a few places at campgrounds.
Let's start in the city of Füssen, that's the place where the famous kings castles Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein are located.
King Ludwig's parents lived in the castle of Hohenschwangau, the little boy Ludwig was very inspirated by this environment, because it has really the charme of a castle of fairy tales.
King Ludwig II (1845–1886):
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/P1032525-1_zpsd1a34211.jpg
This is the image of Neuschwanstein the world knows:
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/P1032526-1_zps1b99fddd.jpg
But lets start at castle Hohenschwangau:
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/PC292221-1_zps9713177b.jpg
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/PC292228-1_zpsaa903dd7.jpg
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/PC292229-1_zpseb49d379.jpg
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/PC292259-1_zps46f67725.jpg
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/PC292232-1_zpsb781a33b.jpg
Hohenschwangau ist already a very impressive castle, but King Ludwig wanted to realize his dreamings and projects.
Most people during his life time didn't understand why to spend so much money for any phantasy creations, but nowadays the state of Bavaria is quite happy to own such rich source of income....
First we wanted to have an overlook, so we walked onto the "Marias bridge", quite impressive over a deep canyon, with the outlook to castle Neuschwanstein:
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/PC292279-1_zpsebf38d67.jpg

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/PC292251-1_zpsa54a441c.jpg
Neuschwanstein was constructed between 1869 an 1888, but never really completed due to the dead of King Ludwig II in 1886 and due to financial problems.
May be crazy, but isn't this castle realization of everybodys dreams ?!?! ;)

After the visit og the castles we returned to the historical center of Füssen:

As we were quite hungry we enjoyed a authentic bavarian meal: :)
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w219/flaxi07/Winter_2012_2013/IMAG0057_zpsc5f0efa0.jpg
Our next location should be the village of Oberstdorf, which we try to vosot every year. Sometimes I already posted a photo in this forum.
In the center of the village there is a large campground, of course always occupied after the Christmas days. Not only by the appropoiate location but due the every years ski-jumping championsships.

At New Year's Day it's tradition that musicians walk form house to house, playing some traditional bavarian music or marches.
They wouldn't be authentic bavarians of the would reject the obligatory Schnaps (spirit) :)

flaxi & weymard - The Civil War was a dark time in our Country's short history. Some ask why we'd want to preserve reminders of that time but its important to learn from those experiences so it doesn't happen again
@Jeff & Kelly........
here the same...inside Europe we had a couple of dark periods, ay you know. Best result of all these experiences is that nowadays we, germans, french, english, american and other friends can talk peacyfully in a common forum like this and infinite more. Great !

RE: Whazoo and Dadwolf's Excellent Adventure

I heard something about Moqui Marbles, some type of iron concretions.
I collect some samples of similar concretions in central Sahara, but they are crystallazations, beginning with a micro sandcorn. So, with the wind rolling an "glewing" more and more layers. With the time something like donkey balls are developing. Funny.
