RE: Pilot light for fridge blowing out while driving down road

Thanks for all the responses i will look into the recall it is a norcold fridge and as far as the battery charging goes I think he was saying that the fridge draws to much to charge on that but not sure I will look into those options. Thanks

Pilot light for fridge blowing out while driving down road

Hi Everyone, I have a 2012 lance 950s I love the camper but for some reason while I am driving down the road the fridge pilot light goes out and the fridge quits working. I was told not to leave it on the battery setting since my diesel truck doesn't charge the camper batteries like a gas motor truck would. The dealer said to just run it on the propane setting and it worked fine for the first few months but now it blows out all the time any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

RE: Looking to Buy: Would like some opinions.

I also live in the pacific northwest and I bought a lance 950s Last year new and I absolutely love it spent almost 60 nights in it the first year and no complaints. Plenty of room for my wife my 3 year old son and myself. We also have done some camping in colder weather and it did great, Hope this helps

RE: 19.5 inch tires - ride reports ?

I have a 2006 gnc 3500 srw and I have rickson's 19.5. I absolutely love them one of the best investments i have made,The ride is a little rougher when not loaded but minor I think. The other great thing is the tires will last a long time not as much traction though.

My New Rickson 19.5 Rims With Pic

I just put on my new Rickson 19.5 rims with continental hdr tires. They drive awesome and I think they look cool on my black truck. Haven't put the camper on the truck to really test them out but soon enough though. http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/newricsons_zps0fc4152d.jpg

New To Me 19.5 Rickson's Great Deal

I just picked up a set of 19.5 Rickson wheels with a set of continental hdr tires with about 50% tread for a total of $650 for the rims and tires. I am pretty excited I have been thinking about upgrading for awhile and when I found this deal I had to jump on it. Can't wait to get them put on the duramax.

RE: Ricksons in Seattle

This is a good deal for these. I emailed him to see if he still had them but no response yet. I have been looking for a set of these for a while. Maybe he has already sold them

RE: Trip Report 25 day trip from washington to California

Thanks everyone for all the great comments. I really do need to learn how to write better and use paragraphs. I totally understand that I wish I would have paid attention in school. It doesn't help that I rarely use a computer. I take people fishing everyday for a living so very little time with the computer but i will work on the computer skills for sure. Thanks Mike

Trip Report 25 day trip from washington to California

I just got back from the big trip I took from ellensburg Washington to Morro Bay California. We started off the day after Thanksgiving I had the camper all loaded up and ready to go so we woke up first thing in the morning and hit the road. It was myself my almost 3 year old son and my teenage brother. We headed down towards portland and ended up making it to Coos Bay OR I read about this casino down there that you can park at for super cheap so we decide to just stay there for the night since we got in late it was only like $15 a night with full hookups which we didn't really need. Then we drove down to richardson's grove in CA and we got to see the redwoods they were pretty amazing. we spent the night there at a nice park that offered passport america 50% off so that worked out well. We stopped and saw the babe and paul bunyan statue my little guy really like that and we drove to the drive through redwood but obviously couldn't fit so we took pictures standing under it. it was really nice to see all these cool places without a ton of people because it was the off season. We got on the hwy 1 where it starts and even though everyone warned me against driving the actual hwy 1 all the way down i did it anyways, Now I see what they were talking about it was quite a drive don't get me wrong it was incredibly beautiful it just took forever but worth it. My little guy got carsick a couple times due to all the hairpin turns and all the curves. And he has never gotten carsick before but he was still loving it. We made our way to half moon bay which is a great state park with really nice spots. and it served as a basecamp for us to drop the camper and go explore San Francisco we stayed here for a few days and explored san fran it was cool my son liked riding the old trolley cars and seeing the boats at the waterfront we went to the san francisco museum of modern art it was nice and good exhibits but not quite what my little guy was looking to do understably. We hung out in half moon bay hit a farmers market and the main street was really nice with lots of little shops. Then we kept heading down south on the hwy 1 and there were alot of really cool old lighthouses to see along the way and we had lots of time so we stopped at all of them and checked them out we even got to take a really cool tour to the top of one of them. Then we made our way down the coast to Morro bay CA where we ended up staying for 9 days we liked it so much we found a really nice state park right on the bay and it was a good price for no hookups and very clean and not very many people staying there. From Morrow bay we went one day and did the 17 mile drive at pebble beach that was pretty cool and one day we went to the montery bay aquarium my son absolutely loved that we spent 6 hours there and he did not want to leave. And then one day we just walked around monterey and saw fisherman's wharf and all that cool stuff. We also went up to the hearst castle and did a tour up there it was definately woth the price of admission I would like to go back and see the rest of the tours we only got to see the one intro tour. we also went to cambria one night where they had this incredible christmas lighting fesival and my son got to sit on santa's lap and tell him what he wanted for christmas. We spent some time just walking around morro bay and fishing from the piers and we went on a boat ride in the bay my son loves the water and loves fishing so this worked out well and obviosly we played a bunch on the beaches making sand castles and just playing around. We drove to pismo beach one day and looked around and bought a kite but the wind never blew hard enough to fly it which was ok because it made it warmer without the wind. then we just cruised back home via I5 I drove 15 hours in one day which in hinsight was crazy but it actually went by pretty fast. The weather was nice most of the time we had a few days in half moon bay where we had some serious rain but it was ok we dealt with it. as it sounded like most of california was dealing with a ton of rain there was a bunch more stuff we did but this is some of the highlights of our trip we spent a total of 25 nights in the camper and we drove 3600 miles total. The truck and camper performed awesome with only a few small glitches that were easily fixed. this was an awesome trip and something that all three of us will never ever forget. now we are planning the next big trip. I bought this camper and truck to make memories with my son and we are definately doing that. I hope you enjoyed the trip report and the pictures I took close to 2,000 pictures so here are some of the highlights of the trip. http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/41_zps213cfa01.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/40_zpsa1a219d5.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/39_zps35acef1d.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/38_zpsbdcf1439.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/21_zps96c687b4.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/20_zps5ce4352a.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/31_zps7bf7f73d.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/30_zps9aefd942.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/28_zps9cd1ec0b.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/27_zps4f671f0c.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/26_zps6a53b6ba.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/25_zps2f6acf07.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/24_zps95cb07c2.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/23_zpseac6b633.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/22_zpsa671e809.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/19_zpsa377485a.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/18_zps61f2a300.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/17_zps54775449.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/36_zps4639ea39.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/35_zps4f4470cb.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/16_zps372e8ba9.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/15_zps74a12e38.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/14_zps0e2bc0af.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/34_zps7aa3f7a0.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/13_zps19742e00.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/12_zpscc17e45d.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/10_zps4266fa73.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/33_zps05ff2d60.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/32_zps1070c9bc.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/9_zps75605aa7.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/8_zpsa8b79c5a.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/7_zpsee22a193.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/6_zps69fe32a1.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/5_zps256f5b95.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/4_zpsa35b5628.jpg http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r601/flyguidemike/3_zps9200abbb.jpg

RE: The countown has begun

Thanks everyone for the great advice. It is greatly appreciated we don't really have anything planned out we are just going to kind of go with it and see where the road takes us. I am not sure how long I will be able to drive in a day with the little one he will be restless and wanting to get out and do things which is fine with me. I will be sure to take alot of pictures.

The countown has begun

The countdown has begun 7 days until my son and I will be hitting the road for a month in the camper we will be heading down the oregon and california coast. I can hardly wait the camper is all packed and ready we just need to add food and some clothes and we are set. I will take a bunch of pictures and report back after the trip. My son is almost 3 years old so it we will definately be making some memories that will last a lifetime.
