RE: In your spare time,

I work to pay taxes & provide the people of our planet with crude oil. Guess thats renders me outside mainstream political correctness!
Ha Ha I haul that crude oil after it's refined to keep all these rv'ers on the road along with the rest of the traveling public.

RE: Platform - Foam vs Wood

I've been useing the blue foam board now for 2yrs with no ill effects. It will indent some on the edges but works great to clear my 5vr rails. It's light weight, easy to remove to put my hitch back in for the 5vr for the winter.

RE: In your spare time,

Right now the wife & I are making room for our 28 yr old daughter & her 2 boys 5 & 9yrs of age. You just can't imagine how much stuff (junk) you can acumulate after 34 yrs 26 of which have been in the same place. Then it's onto cleaning out my shop, for I know the daughter will have things that need storing. All this while DW & I are putting in our 40 hrs at work. We look forward to long weekend getaways in our 5vr in the winter & summers in the TC.Retirement hopefully in 4.5 yrs so we can travel.

RE: Crossing the country!

Did anyone else notice the guy who didn't want his pic taken at the vendors booths? Think he might have been an elegal or wanted by the law?
Keep up the good reports PJ.

RE: Warm feet - The latest upgrade

I have partial carpet & linoleum with throw rugs in my TC. It's nice having the carpet where your feet 1st hit the floor in the morning & sitting at the table. However the throw rugs are better for us to keep it clean when 1st entering the tc. The dog likes the carpeted area for those cold nites & the linoleum for warm nites.

RE: Best Road Side Picnic Table

We enjoyed camping on Banks lake back in 1998. We were with friends on our Harley comming back from Sturgis. Boy was it ever hot in August & enjoyed a good swim. Are they still doing the lasser light show on the dam?

RE: When Animals Attack!

There use to be a bounty on them here in my county. I don't know if it's still in effect or not with all the animal rights activist changing things. You use to be able to hunt bear with dogs too, but no longer.

RE: Looking under the vinyl trim on a Bigfoot

Looks like the same way the Balboa sail boats were put together. I worked there in the early 70's & after they left my work station the hull & deck were put together just like the picture above.

RE: thinking of buying a second/additional camper (TC)

We have both a tc & a 5vr. We use the tc spring, sumer, & early fall for the lakes & fishing. We are headed to the coast this Friday for a week with the 5vr. We use it all winter for the longer stays with the wet weather. It's much more comfortable when spending more time inside.

RE: Almost time for WAX for a Big Foot

I use some siding cleaner from my local building supply & spray it on. Let it stand for 5 min. & lightly brush & rinse. It comes out squeeky clean & gets any road grime off & makes it easier to apply the marine wax. I do my 5vr the same way.

RE: Help Needed with New DRW Problem

I use the black water tank flush everytime. Just got back from a weekend fishing trip & flushed the tanks here at home before taking the tc off the truck for the winter. It's time to put the 5vr hitch back in.

RE: Help Needed with New DRW Problem

You mean the interstates in Alabama are so smooth you can't get any slooshing going on? LOL Any interstate with heavy truck traffic through a major city should get the job done.Ask me how I know.

Yes yale camp is the one they were going to develop. With this economy it may have stalled. we have stayed there when Belknap was full. They take reservations.
