Heck..I'm trying to figure out how to hint to hubby this is all I want for Christmas.
Ever not turn out to be the 'hero' you'd thought you'd be
'bout...a month or so back...left work early to go vote...
Ford Pick (of course a Ford :;) like cut right in front of me..real close...with no blinker (pretty sure blinkers don't work on Fords :))..
Anyway less than a minute later...I see something out of the corner of my eye and turn to look...
To my absolute horror...there is a small pick up airborne sideways coming 'my way'....hit the brakes as hard as I can...it's either going to be me or the Ford...little pickup lands in front of Ford...Ford with those breaks (just kidding) no chance of stopping...nails little truck...(lots of spinning and crashing of little pickup)...
When everything comes to a stop...I am the first to jump out of my car and run over to little pickup...what I see is not good...lower arm almost severed...head twisted like the neck was broke...arm twitching...I truly believed the guy was dead....and ran back to my car as at this point I'm freaked out...as I'm running back to my car another that had gotten out to check if they could help...well they had intelligence to holler out to the guy...are you okay????...and he (small truck guy) answered back...OMG what an idiot I felt like....how could I have just assumed he was dead and not asked/checked...
I did end up supplying the t-shirt for the tournequet (sp?) and gave the 'Ford' guy that hit little truck a ride to Lewisville where his buddy picked him up...
I had always thought that if I ever was in one of those life and death situations..I'd be there and do the right thing....didn't count on not being smart enough or calm enough to ask the obvious :R:(

Sorry for your loss but what tribute you both are to the love you had for Jennifer. Enjoy your vacation I know Jennifer would want that very much.

I like being the diva and drama queen and getting all the attention....bad boys are way too much competition in that department :p

Bad enough the police have to endure what they do while on the job...now they can't even have a cup of coffee without risking their lives :M
Not too long back....I read a news story about a police officer somewhere being gunned down while 'test' driving with a rookie in a parking lot somewhere..
I honestly thought to myself...I hope this isn't the start of some new anti-police gang activity...and I thought that because of some either song lyrics or something I had read/saw somebody say about the police being afraid of them now, not the other way around...
So again I'm left hoping this isn't some new kind of threat to the police...
