RE: Camp food

Something we're going to try this year: Homemade pretzels over the fire. Tell me more. We've gotta try that. Where's the recipe?

Football Hall of Fame

Has anyone been to the Football Hall of Fame and camped nearby? DW & I are thinking of going and would like some input. I realize that the induction/game weekend would be like impossible, but is there a chance to find a decent campground for a B (just need elect, fire ring, table and nearby shower) and get tickets to the Hall and/or the game this fall?
thanks

RE: NC mountains campsite recommendations

class v: I couldn't agree more Lake Powatan is simply beautiful, and real close to town for touring. Also your quote by Ben Franklin is the same one I use on my personal email account. People with good taste are just to find!!!

RE: Online storage

I'm really leaning toward Photobucket. I think it has ass the features I want/need. How do you post onto forums like this from DropBox? I can't find a link feature.

Online storage

What's the best free online storage for just photos? Don't want to do effects and touch-ups (so I don't need all the glitz of Picasa). Don't want Google to OWN them (as claimed). Just want to store, share pics with friends, and some public, and be able to post to boards like this. Would like high capacity, no cost and easy to use. And then maybe my cake and eat it to.
Thanks

RE: RV parking in St. Augustine, Florida ?

Just returned from Anatasia a week and a half ago. LOVED IT!!! Campground and town. Be sure to check "Segs by the Sea" and take a segway tour of the town. Just the wife and I and the guide on a two hour ride that was just terrific and nothing short of superb! $60 per person seemed a bit expensive, but was WELL worth it. We took the tour and then found out where to go the next day on our own.
Enjoy.

Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7.0 as a hot spot

Recently bought a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7.0 4G Verizon, can I use it as a hot spot to wifi connect our laptop to the internet? And if so, and I get a good signal, can I use both at the same time?
thanks

RE: Trip to Florida?

Bob, we're in a B and don't have onboard facilities, just a porta-pottie. Sorting pics now and hope to post them to an online site shortly. Will keep you informed. And once again, Juniper Springs is the prettiest park I've ever seen.

RE: Wants a good spot to camp in destin?

I'd take Grayton Beach in a heart beat. (We're in a B, so don't have the big rig issues.) But it is camping, with plenty of growies between sites for privacy and easy access to the beach, town and things to do. With a great beach!

RE: Motorcycle receiver hitch rack

Does having the license plate obscured create any problem? I have a similar device to carry our scooter and our license plate is partly covered, and this concerns me. Has there been any problems because of this?

RE: Trip to Florida?

Just returned from a 2 week trek from FLA. From Stephen Foster Cultural State Park to Cedar Key, Daytona Beach, St Augustine, Savannah, thru AL, MS and home to STL. Stephen Foster was a wonderful state park, gorgeous campground and all. Cedar Key was nice, but not the key as in Key West. No ocean or gulf, but marsh. Pleasant town and quaint shops, nice stop. On our way over to Daytona area (Tomoka SP) made a stop at Juniper Springs Campground. No electric, but the prettiest campground we have ever seen!!! Bar none! A federal park and just terrific. Worked our way up to Savannah via Little Talbot Island SP, Fort Clinch SP, the town of St Mary's (really nice). Missed Ft. McAllister SP, but stayed at Skidaway (which was OK, but during reconstruction of many sites) Our small B seemed our of place with all the large rigs, but still a nice park. Indian Springs SP in GA was really nice and said to be the oldest SP in the US. Hernando Point Corp Park on Arkabutla Lake was our last stop, and pleasant at that.
Now we're home and gotta go thru our pics and write our reviews while planning our next trek.

RE: How to make some easy money

Wanting to start loading and make some last minute installs (a couple of lights, paper towel holder, etc) to our new B in preparation for Wed.'s departure for FL. But instead I'm sitting inside at my computer as we are in the midst of a March snow storm. 8-11" predicted, and now it's a total white-out and just might get it as they said. But, we'll leave Wed morn if I gotta push it all the way.

RE: What to use for sealing marker lights?

I heard that in order to make a water tight seal that is removable you need to disassemble the item. Thoroughly clean both parts. On part A, coat the area that comes in contact with part B with a liberal, but thin but even coat of petroleum jelly. On part B coat the opposing area with pure silicone caulk. Put the two pieces together and let cure. After this you should be able to remove part B, replace whatever inside, and reassemble without leaking.

RE: Patching canvas on directors chair

Restitch and then rivet. But a word of caution on the rivet, if I may, DON'T cut the rivet hole with a knife. Use a hole punch, like the ones used for leather working are best or the worse case scenario would be to use an awl or even an ice pick. Just MHO>

RE: St. George Island or Anastasia?

We prefer Grayton Beach over SGI, by a ton. Close to Destin, but still quiet in it's own space. Hustle & bustle when you want and peace & quiet when you want. Never have been to Anastasia SP, but will let you know in about 3 weeks.
