Palmetto bugs have wings and they will fly when they need to, like when coming off walls or trees. I don't think they can take off like a bird from level ground though.

Let me see if I have this right I can just use the toll roads and they will send me a bill when I get home for all the toll roads. So I don't really need to worry about anything if I don't mind paying the 2.50 charge on top of the tolls due?
I believe you are referring to "bill by plate" which is available only in Miami Dade county. As far as I know, if you go through anywhere else and don't pay, you are subject to a fine.
I spend the winter in Hillsborough (Tampa area), Pinellas, and Pasko counties and the "bill by plate" works in those areas. In fact, there are several roads that only go by that method or the SunPass. They do not have any toll booths anymore.

The only toll roads under Florida's Turnpike Enterprise that are toll by plate are in Miami-Dade. The other toll roads in Tampa you are referring to are under a different authority. The Veterans Expressway in Tampa (under FTE) is not toll by plate.

RE: Help with First Strike Satellite Meter
I have Dish so maybe things are different, but after tinkering I was able to set up unique transponders to Dish satellites for positive ID on Dish satellites. Another nice thing is you don't have to have the receiver hooked up for the First Strike meter to find a signal.
