Enough tow vehical for 5er

We have been looking for a 5th wheel, and few places have smaller ones on the lot. Going by floor plans we like the Surveyor 306BH which is 34' long GVWR 10135 and pin 1535. We also like Rockwood 8281SS GVWR 8785 pin 1197 30' long.
would a 250 ford pull and STOP either of these safely. Ford and RV sales both say yes or we could get 150????

Bubbles on our trailer?

Well cleaning the trailer on the weekend we noticed it has 4 under the surface bubbles in a 10" space on the front. What does this mean, should we fix it, how do we fix it?

which fifth wheel, this or that

well we are going to take your advise and find the fifth wheel first then buy the truck.
as few dealers in our area have 5ers on their lots its going to be harder than we thought and we may even have to wait until the fall for an RV show.
But that being said just wondered which manufactors we should be looking at. Have seen a few on line and some don't look to impressive.
your recommendations please and why, highlights of your floor plan.

Starting over, whole bunch of new questions

We have a jayco tt that we love and pull with a 2003 dodge durango.
With the price of trucks and trailers so low we are now ready to make the jump. Over the years we have considered many different tow vehicals and trailers.
Now we are certian that we want a 5th wheel, the hard part is that we need to learn everything again. What type of truck works best with what type of vehical,(how to drive it)when you go to a dealer theirs is always the best.
we would like to stay with Jayco, but this could change, we need and additional bed for the teenager, more storage, a bigger bathroom and number one a slide so the dog is not always under foot.
Not sure about length as again this is new, but want some space, and again the weight thing needs to be understood.
We have looked at the truck dealers and are down to Ford or Dodge, just because I like them the best.
Any and all help would be appreciated as with your help our first choice was a great one.

Replacing thermostat in Atwood water heater

We are having problems with our Atwood water heater. have tried it on both electric and propane and all we get is warm water. It has been suggested that we replace the thermostat, and I wondered if we can do this. Don't really want to pay the dealer $175. but don't want to damage it either.

Water heaters not heating

Not a big fan of cold showers on a cold weekend.
Took our TT out for the first time on the weekend, everything worked great but the water heater. The best we could do was just warm. We have a Atwood Spark Ignition combination Gas/Electric.
Now I have to tell you I'm not very handy but I figure its either the Thermostat/Eco or Thermal Cut Off.
I wondered how I can determin which and if I can replace this myself.
help would be appreciated.

RE: Keeping Mice out

Used that last year and for the first time WE HAD MICE. I swear they had green poop.
However it did smell nice.
This year we cleaned the whole trailer with strong detergent and removed everything, so far so good.
