RE: Replaced Floor Again... Vinyl
Looks nice, professional level job. I just removed the rug in our TT, except for that in the slideout. Makes cleaning up after the grandkids really easy. I left the original floor for now, just put a vinyl sealer on it to seal the staple holes. Next year, I figure on replacing it with something new.
RE: Camping vs. Available time to camp, time to sell TT?
I think in your shoes, I'd sell this TT, unless I had a barn to store it in for the 5-7 years it sounds like you'll be busy with other things than camping. Our highschool age kids weren't very interested in camping. Loved it when they were pre-teens, love it now again as their families get going. So unless you can stop the aging on this unit with excellent storage, you'd be better off getting a newer unit if/when your camping interests get going again.
Need to replace side decals on TT
I have a 2002 Keystone Columbia 25' TT. It is a orphan in that Keystone only made it for one year, but it's in great shape and fits our needs exactly. The original decals are crumbling at the edges and in poor shape, even though the fiberglass panels are fine. It sort of puts a "Beverly Hillbillies" look on the trailer, so I'd like to replace them. I don't expect to find the exact replacement decals, but many of the swoop/shapes/line decals from other Keystone models or other manufacturers would work. Has anyone had experience in buying replacement decals from their TT's original manufacturer, or other sources.
TIA
RE: No video signal
What model is your Sansui LCD? I found the instruction manual for the Jensen unit on-line, and it has the yellow/red/white output that you should feed into the TV. If you give me the model of the TV, I'll look at that manual to see if I can help you.
RE: Cover or not to cover the TT
I have been covering mine for the last 5 years. We only get out a couple of times a year, so over the winter and long layovers where we don't plan to get out, I cover it. I use an Adco cover from Camping World. A cover lasts about 2 years in our California sun, so I'm on my third one. The quality has gotten better and better with each successive cover, so I'm an Adco fan. Before we started using one, our TT sides and decals were really deteriorating rapidly. That has almost completely stopped with using the cover. I do have to get on the roof to install the cover, but it's not a really big job in my estimation.
