RE: Seismic 3914 or Voltage 3905?

8' gate is huge. The angle of attack can mean everything on some days.

RE: Seismic 3914 or Voltage 3905?

Just checked out a friends Voltage and I was impressed with it. Nice looking rig for sure.

RE: Y'all Told Me So

I wouldn't pay for an ST upgrade regardless. Only steel carcass LT's for me from here on out. Pricey, but worth every penny.

RE: Y'all Told Me So

I'm hoping Open Range will come out with a toyhauler. The last one of those I saw seemed decent.

RE: Y'all Told Me So

With your viewpoint on the tires that is. The majority of them still disagree with your stance on Heartland's customer service. As do I.

RE: Wiring a thermostat to an old 579 brisk air with knobs

Why not just use the controls on the AC unit then? Mine work, it's just that my Cyclone is too tall to reach the controls.

RE: Wiring a thermostat to an old 579 brisk air with knobs

Haha...that's not exactly what I had in mind. Interesting none the less. Where did you mount that though? If on the wall, you then run the power to the wall plug instead of the AC unit, and then the AC unit into that. Won't be clean. There has to be a different solution.

Wiring a thermostat to an old 579 brisk air with knobs

Anyone know how to do this? I got a schematic from Dometic. They make it sound like it can be done, but when I open up the control box with the knobs, the wiring in there must be 14awg, and the thermostat wires are like 24awg. I don't think it's as simple as just wiring up the colors. I think I'm missing something.

RE: Y'all Told Me So

I bought my Duravis at Costco for $220ea. The key there is that you have to take them off the coach. They don't work on trailers.

RE: Y'all Told Me So

The XPS are a steel belted carcass. Seems to me they are in the 53lb range and $300 each. The Duravis is identical in construction, and around $220 a tire. Dollar for dollar the Duravis wins, but you can't go wrong with XPS ribs for sure. Tons of people switch to them.

RE: Y'all Told Me So

Just replaced my PowerMax tires here a few months ago. They were weather checking bad on the sides. They gave me around $100 a tire for the old ones. I installed Bridgestone Duravis R250's and they're built like a brick. Nice tire for $220.

Mine did. So nothing to flip.

RE: Level towing

I lowered my Cyclone in the shackles and adjusted the pin. That helped. I'm still a touch high in the nose, but then again I have 2" lift in the truck front and back too. If I removed the blocks in the back I'd be level. On a side note, it doesn't really matter what the rig weighs per axle to fix your problem. If it's not level, it's simply not level. It won't ride it's best that way either. You should know your weights though after leveling.

RE: Axle issue. 3-axle.

I had to have mine re-aligned. They acutally bend the axles back to in spec. However, while talking to the tech, he said it happens all the time. He's seen them come out of the factory out of spec. Mines been great since the alignment.

RE: Converting Carefree Electric Awning for pitch adjustment

Did you ever cut your lower arms? I've been thinking about this myself. Carefree won't help me with any measurements. I think they know that's all you need to do. I might work this up in CAD to make sure it works first. Seems simple enough to me.

RE: Dodged a tire bullet

My PowerKings were just replaced. They credited me about half the cost. I went with Duravis R250s and I love them. They are seriously built. I highly recommend them. $220 at Costco. That's where I got mine too.

RE: Unusual Golf Cart Question

I've never had them ask me for it even though I have it.
