RE: Power awning or manual???

I agree that this a highly personal preference. I have had both. Yes it is nice to press a button and have the awning extended. But my preference is for a manual awning for 2 reasons. It is way more adjustable. We have camped plenty of times with the sun blasting down and can't adjust a power awning enough for any relief. One caveat I'll throw out there. The 2 units I have had power awnings on also had slides that extended below the awning. A manual awning would have been no more adjustable because the slide would prohibit it. The second reason may sound stupid but we love awning lights. We have many sets. The automatic awnings are usually too high to hang the awning lights. Or use a sun shade. Now had we had a power awning with no slides to interfere, my opinion may be completely different.

RE: Palomino Solaire Travel Trailer

LakeN, we bought from Country Roads RV Center in Welcome,NC. This is the second RV we have purchased from them and we are extremely happy both with the RV's and the dealer. I will say I am a pretty low maintenance owner from the dealer's perspective since I will do any minor repairs on my own. We did our shakedown this past weekend and aside from a few pieces of molding that need to be tacked back up, we had a very relaxing trip.

RE: Palomino Solaire Travel Trailer

We just picked up our Palomino SolAire 297RLDS yesterday. We had been looking to upgrade for over a year and couldn't find anything that really impressed us and ,more importantly, could still be comfortably towed with our current Toyota Tundra. We saw some SolAire floor plans on a dealer's website and immediately emailed him to let us know when he had them on the lot. I'm guessing because this line is so new there's not a lot of information out there yet. Palomino doesn't even have anything on their website yet. Needless to say when we saw the 297RLDS, we knew it was the right one for us. We love the floor plan. Our model has the Eclipse package and I think the Line-X rock guard on the front cap looks really cool. We're hoping to take it out for a shakedown soon. Let's get into the camping season when we really can use it and then I'll be able to offer more insight. But we are as happy as can be with our purchase one day into ownership!
