RE: Help with awning LED strip

emiddleeb
thanks for the thought, but I have an RF not IR setup. Did get replacements in mail today and tested and they work. Controller or transmitter on old one must of been bad or not matched because lights light up on green to start but transmitter will not talk to controller

RE: Help with awning LED strip

I just installed my light strip this week. I had ordered on ebay and they came from China, first mistake. I have an RF controller. The red power light comes on and the green signal light blinks green when I turn on via a 12v switch I installed. The lights lit up green. I had to put a battery in the hand held transmitter and whoa en behold, nothing happened. Could not change colors or turn on or off. The transmitter and controller must be matched and apparently either one or the other has a problem or not matched. I ordered a new controller and transmitter from an outfit in ST Louis. Should get here tomorrow and then I can test.

RE: Removing Cargo bay door

I have a Hurricane MH and when I had to repair the black tank, the cargo bay door had to be removed. The entire door frame had to be removed first. Did this by removing the screws holding the frame to the body. Probably around 10 screws. Then carefully had to slide a putty knife under the door frame to separate caulk frame and body trying not to scrape paint. Entire frame and door came out.

RE: Can I put a Want Ad here or is that a no no ?

I tow a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, put transfer case in nuetral and the transmisson in park. I had a non-chip key made tha allows me to turn the ignition one click to free the steering wheel, but if I start the car with this key it will run about 20 seconds an then die. No one can steal with this key in the ignition. I also have used a Brake Buddy over the past 7 years of towing.

RE: Computer fold out table for Passenger side Class A

I think you are right about making a custom unit. I have not been able to locate an aftermrket unit. A salvage yard might be the answer also. Could be hard to locate. I think I will make a custom unit myself out of oak. I have enough woodworking skill to manage this type of project.
Thanks for the comments. Just confirmd what I was thinking

RE: Trip Routing: SLC to Denver

We live in Denver and go to Steamboat Springs quiteoften to go fishing. We have taken US 40 quite often. Not bad drive. Two passes to go over, just outside of Steamboat is Rabbit Ears Pass and just outside Winter Park is Berthoud Pass. Both are long pulls, but in our 33" Ford V-10 pulling a Jeep Grand Cherokee or a 17' Boat, we can usually go up the passes between 30 to 40 mph. Scenic route. If you go I-70 you still have to go over Vail Pass and go up and thru the Eisenhower Tunnel. Both of these are similar to the passes on US40

RE: We're remodeling our bathroom/bunk area - need advice please

I recently had to open up an interior bathroom wall to get to a vent in theblack tank so tht the tank could be removed and repaired. I have a Hurricane motorhome and what I found in that wall was wood framing. 1 x 4 baseplate and 2 x 2 studs. I bet you will find something similart, but just guessing. I would cut a hole in the middle and see what is in there.

Cargo Bay Lights fuse location

All of my cargo bay lights do not work. I have a 2005 Hurricane 31K. I think a fuse is blown but not sure where to locate. I beleive it might be in the Battery Control box up front. Not sure though. Has anyone replaced a fuse for these? Thanks for any assistance.

If you go to Burlington, go north and stay on Hero Island and then you can continue on to Montreal.
