RE: 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 4WD

Ours is for sale HERE. 7.3 Ford diesel was the best they ever made...exiting RV'ing...and, yes, I know I am tight-roping the moderator's cliff, but it is not published for sale YET at any of the usual sites (Ebay, C-list, etc) as I would like to see an RV'er pick her up..

RE: About Full-Time Rving

The big 3 costs (potentially) can be: 1) Campground fees 2) Fuel/rig maintenance 3) Health care....

RE: 5th wheel for '04 F150 Supercrew, short bed? Just temporary?

Concur with previous, I would opt to pay a delivery service to take it. You get to keep your truck in great shape and everything arrives safely, plus eliminates having to buy temporary tag along. You don't say how long it will be in Md., so you have to decide if extra expense $1.5k-2k is worth it.

RE: Best roads San Antonio TX to Portland OR

I would keep it simple...take i-10 west out of SA to keep you off i-40 and colder March weather....then connect to i-5 in CA. and snooze yourself all the way to Portland...can almost ensure a snow free route, we did it this past April, poss exception of Mt. Shasta area...

RE: Extended Warranty

Compare with Xtra Ride, as well. We have been pleased with them and several RV shop techs I visited with stated they are easy to work with....

RE: Passport America

Got our money back five times over. You dont say what RV park in Austin you are at, but if Oak Forest, it is $22 a night with PA, Sun-Thurs....will pay for itself in a couple of nights...

RE: Question about 2 Black/Grey Water Tanks

My RV has two grey water tanks and one black. I use the same hose dumping the black first, the bath grey next and the kitchen grey last. Not a lot of trouble and I don't have to carry a lot of extra fittings.
Hope this helps and welcome to the forum.
Ditto.

RE: How to bring tools and stuff fulltiming?

Probably workable if you are not moving a bunch. Also will need to check with campgrounds in advance to see how they will arrange to park extra vehicle, extra trailer. Have seen motorhomes pulling a toad and their m/c is up on a hydraulic mount over the back bumper, or motorhome towing the trailer and wife simply following behind in their get-around car. Have also seen the option where you are tripled up---tow the rig and trailer attached, no need for extra car, all be it state regs may vary on its permissibility.

RE: Help with finding a campground

Better book it soon! Chatfield State Park, can hop on 470 right out of the park, full hook ups...Jefferson County Fairgrounds, Golden, CO., inexpensive, water and elec w/dump station...Dakota Ridge RV Park, also Golden, CO., nicest, but easily the priciest....all 3 will serve you well, all 3 less than an hour to DIA.....former Denver res of 22 yrs...
