RE: under cabinet mount coffee maker

We use a counter top maker with a metal carafe. I have it Velcro-ed to the counter top, it works great just wish it was a 20 cup capacity as I use a 32oz coffee cup.

RE: Campground Question

Yep, I think that someone on a different shift just messed up. We have had similar things happen several times to us. Once the type of site we had reserved were all full as someone who was supposed to leave decided to stay for a few more days. So we did not have a site. That person offered to pay the difference for us to stay on a deluxe site, so we were OK with that.

RE: Air Condition high/low question

Our AC's also have the hi/low switch. When we purchased our unit new, during the walk through the guy told us that most times running on low will make the unit freeze up. He suggested not using low, so I have never used it.

RE: Converter location: UPDATE!

I don't have the same mh that you have, however, my converter is behind the drawers which are between the under sink cabinet and the power fuse center. If you have any drawers in that area remove them and look around with a flashlight. Hope this helps.

RE: Disney Workamping

I have not heard of anyone work camping at Ft. Wilderness. This does not mean that they don't do it. I have met people at campgrounds around Disney who "work for the Mouse." One couple was from Canada and have come down during season every year for the past 11 years. The one complaint that they were voicing was the cut in hours over the last couple of years. It's not work camping, just working at Disney and living at a RV park. Good luck.

RE: Removing old graphics

Currently working to remove mine. I am using a heat gun on low, with plastic single edge razor blades. Have to have a blade holder because of the heat. I have a bottle of Rapid Remover that a friend suggested for the sticky stuff, but haven't gotten to that point yet. My plan is to paint them back on in the same place as the stickers. I found 100 razor blades on ebay for around $6, and the Rapid Remover on Amazon for around $26. Good luck.

RE: inverter failure - what next?

Mine went out about a year ago. Found the very best deal on a new one on ebay. Takes less than 5 minutes to install just as the old one.

RE: Send/Receiving Fax Using Cell Phone.. Can I?

I also use myfax.com Have been using them for at least 6 years. $10 a month for I think 200 faxes. I have a dedicated fax number (888 toll free) and all of my faxes come info a file folder in my email. I seldom ever print out a fax so saving on ink and paper. You just scan what you want to fax, log in at their web site, then it will fax it and report back to you when the fax was successful. Good luck.

RE: 6 Gallon Water Heater in 36' Winnie

Five of us camp and have never had a problem running out of hot water. Now, we don't all line up jumping into the shower one right after the other, but our water heater recovers super fast. Everyone will learn how the on/off on the shower handle works. If still worried just always be the first in... :) Happy Camping!

RE: Buying on bayE

I buy and sell all the time on ebay with no problems. Once I shipped an item and when it arrived it was in like 300 pieces. Had insurance so I refunded the buyer and filed a claim with the post office. Took about 6 weeks but they finally sent me a check. If you do get your item and it is OK, just leave a feedback about your experience. I have contacted ebay several times over the years and have never been told the one fix thing. Good luck.

RE: Window 8.1 WIFI Issue

I have not upgraded to 8.1, but thanks for posting. I really don't care for Windows 8 at all. So have ignored the 8.1 notice.

RE: Alert: Charcoal Sale for the Outdoor Chefs

If you don't have a military ID, a copy of your DD214 is acceptable at Lowe's. But I normally don't carry a copy with me.... Does anyone know of any type of ID for former military?(not retiree) I use the VA health system and maybe I could get something there....

RE: No spare tire with rim?

Do get a spare. Before I bought mine I needed a tire on a Sunday Somewhere in South Georgia. The only one I could find the guy wanted $995 for it. I took my toad off and drove 2 hours and got one for $185, brought it back to the motor home and then had roadside service come change it. This took the better part of the day. Now I have a spare and the tools to change it if needed.

RE: Alert: Charcoal Sale for the Outdoor Chefs

I got this same deal from Lowe's last month. They had sold out and even gave me a rain check. I went in a week later and picked it up. I try to buy nothing unless it is on sale or I can ask and get a bit of a discount. Drives the wife crazy...

Boondocking for a night around Hilton Head SC ?

We have friends who live at Hilton Head and would like to stop for a visit. They live in a condo and there is no where we could park the motor home there. Does anyone know of somewhere in the area we could boondock just for an overnight? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

RE: [pics!] Roof edge construction and calking question

A year or so back I removed all of the sealant on my roof and re-did it all. Just used dicor on the whole thing. I used a heat gun and putty knife and even removed the sealer that was on the areas that you circled (the edge at the side). Ended up with a bead of dicor along that edge. On the top after removing the 4" wide strip of sealant the factory had put, my replacement sealant looked like a lot less but has worked just fine. I didn't see the need for a 4" wide strip of sealant for an eight of an inch if that area to seal. Plus, I figured the factory was likely using a 55 gallon drum of the stuff and not the hand cranking tubes that we can get. One other thing that I did was clean off all of the plastic on top and paint it white with UV resistant paint. They all stay so clean now much easier than before.

RE: Boon-docking question

Don't forget that some RV dealers have dumps. Seems I saw a billboard once that stated that they had a free dump. I guess getting new customers to the lot is half the battle.

RE: Every. Decal. Peeling.

In the process of removing mine. One a month. When complete I will clean with Rapid Remover then I plan to paint them back on. There was a thread here about a year ago and the fellow had used Rust-Oleum spray paint that he got at wally world. All of the photos he posted looked great. The real problem that I am having is DW wants the original colors on there. I want to use all Big Orange and add the orange and white Tennessee Vols checker board on all of the basement doors. We will see what happens.

RE: AC unit freezing up.

If your thermostat has a Hi and Low fan speed, make sure it's not on low. When we purchased our MH the salesman suggested we only use Hi speed on the fan, he said it would prevent freeze up.

RE: "Pet" = dog

Kids have a dwarf rabbit and when I ask about the pet fee I am always told no. He doesn't leave the RV. Before our 20 year old dog Molly passed last year we were checking into Ft. Wilderness and when asked I told the clerk that we had an antique dog who was 20, she told us not to worry about it and did not charge the fee.
