RE: Wheel Bearings

I always take a hub off, take it with me and have them match up the seal. Safest way to do it.
After the first time you service the bearings, you keep an old seal or record the numbers for the future.
X2, If its the same 6k Alko I had on my other toy hauler I have the seal numer in the book in my truck. I'll look tonight for you.

RE: Mystery Water Leak's

Just a FWIW, Our new trailer will collect water in the underbelly if we travel in the rain, it seems to get pushed in along the frame. When I looked closer the plastic material is held on with screws and 2 sided tape. Its on my todo list to seal up the front and probaly 8' back on each side and see how that works.

RE: GOT MY (LT) MAN CARD.....I did IT!!!!!

Just wondering, what is the actual stamped load rating on the tires? E in that size has several different weights.
3042 @ 80 psi in single tire application like this triple axle trailer. Dual tire(dually) applications are a little lower capacity.
These are stout tires very, very similar to Michelin XPS Ribs but a little cheaper and have a better warranty against ozone(environmental) damage than the Michelin.
so....252 pound reserve on a toy hauler. I paid just over $30 more per tire for the G614's @ 3750 (110psi)on our rig and have a 4500 pound reserve. based on a 18K rating. Our rig has 7k axles on it, no way I would be happy with that little margin. But hey anything is a step up over China bombs :) They look like a good tire, just not my choice.
If you got G614's for $270-$280 a tire -you did good! Most are paying $330 and up for that tire. 17.5 rubber and a wheel would be my direction at the $330 a tire mark.
$294 a tire , mounted and balanced. What I like is the fact they are retread-able up to 5 times. Cant beat that with a stick.:)

RE: Difference between single rear wheel and dually rear wheel

After towing our toy hauler with both, hands down the Dually makes for a much nicer drive. Can the SRW do it, sure in most cases, but you will arrive wore out from the drive, the Dually is just that much nicer.

RE: 2012 Raptor with Towmasters = BOOOM!!!

Goodyear G614's for us, had the new rig 20 days while we traveled home, changed them as soon as we got home. Not fun driving 1800 miles on pins and needles waiting for one to go.. :( I replaced all 7, A tad more than the Maxxis but with a tire that can be retreaded up to 5 times one can not go wrong.

RE: BlowMax Tires

I also need to call Heartland and find out if the rims are rated to 110 psi, unless someone here who has one has already done the homework and can tell me.
I'd love to get 2-4 years of service out of them before biting the bullet for a set of GY 614s
the rims on our rig are stamped 3950 pounds and 110 psi on the back. As to the G614's, they are mini semi tires :)

RE: BlowMax Tires

Lt tires are e ratee and in the 3200 pound range, go get G rated tires 3750 pound rated. Either Goodyear g614 or one of the knockoffs that are out there. No worries other that if you hit something on the road. Best money we have spent on tires. The good years are regroveable up to 5 times, can't beat the life cycle. ( not that I'd run retreads on the camper).

RE: Toy Hauler Information Overload! HELP!

We just moved from a KZ to a Keystone Raptor. Typical, little thing that need personal touches but overall after 1800 miles everything is working good. We are adding storage in some areas and putting extra shelves in others. Drop me a pm for more in depth info.
