RE: Axle alignment causing tire ware?

Alignment cannot be done if you have welded spring hangers, which is 99.9% of all trailers. if the alignment is truly out of specs, the only way to correct it is cutting and rewelding the hangers. The only cause for that is bad production. This is not the case. The alignment actually takes place on the axle itself by bending or using wedges. I reccomend you seek the advice of an alignment shop.

RE: Onan micro quiet trouble

Here's the deal...replace the carb. You are gonna fight with this thing for hours on end, spend all your saved up vacation money, maybe even throw tools at the neibors, and in the end what's gonna work? Replaceing the carb. Trust us, we been there!!:S

RE: Rental Trailer Question

It sounds to me like you need to consolodate your rental payments and buy your own storage building. Then you can store your vehicles all in one place, and be aquireing equity in the place to boot. Just a thought.

RE: Head vs Cabinet

I was thinking that after 4 or 5 slight concussions, you would remember it's there and quit running into it! :p:S:B

RE: Does anyone carry a CAR??

There are some MH (the really large ones) that have a garage that will hold a small car (Miata size) but not sure about something the size of a Neon, even though that is pretty small. I'm sure there are probably specialty trailers that will haul cars and such....look at NASCAR.... I would think that if you have a Neon, you probably don't have the $$ for the type of TH or garage MH that you are talking about. Wow:E How presumptious was that?:R Oh but wait! I forgot, you're a tug boat mechanic, that explains it all.:S Sorry, I stewed over this post for a while and held back as long as I could:M

RE: Does anyone carry a CAR??

I haul a VW bug all the time. It's a bit lighter than your Neon, but it works. As others have said, sort of, make sure that the ramp will support the weight and that the deck is rated appropriately. Check out pictures in profile.

RE: opinions on buying onan gen with TH or use portables

Another vote for the built in unit. Will never again do a trailer of any kind without one.:B

RE: TH for hauling a miata

Been here, doin' this!!:) I believe you will be hard pressed to find what you are looking for without haveing someone build it for you. I.E. I don't believe that you will find 16' of cargo space in a 40' TH with a wall and still have room for any slides except in the bedroom. My 40' has 19' of cargo space but that is from the ramp to the counter where the oven is. If I am wrong, and for your sake I hope that I am, (that way, maybe you will find what you are looking for)and you find this toyhauler from heaven, it will most likely be too heavy for a 1-ton to be comfortable. My Nu-Wa is as heavy when loaded as I would like to be, anything more and I will go to a small Freightliner or something. I haul a VW Bug and related items for car shows. I don't carry spare parts or very many tools. So you can see, my car weighs maybe 2000 at the tops and I have no where near the weight in tools, tires and parts that you will. Keep in mind that not only does the truck have to stand up to all the stuff you put back there, so does the floor and ramp. Some folks experience sag in the floor panels by the outside walls because of overloading the floor. Just because the wheels, tires and main frame take the abuse, it does not mean that the floor panels and frame parts that go out the walls will. Mine has not and needs to be reinforced as it is sagging some. There are trailer mfgrs. out there that will be glad to build what you are looking for, but I doubt if you will find what you are looking for on a dealer lot. I am trying as hard as I can, but can not remember the names of the companys for custom race setups, when I do I will post back here. Sorry for the long drawn out reply, but you asked for "been here...." and I am. I didn't want to see someone else make the same mistakes I have or have their dreams dashed after dreaming for years and then finding out, "no we can't do that for you, sorry". Anyway, good luck in your search and let us know what you come up with. Check out my profile for a pic of the car and truck and trailer. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

RE: NEW RAPTOR COUCH!!

This may be a stupid question but how did it fit through the door? I assume you took it apart? Wait, this is a toyhauler fourm. We have great big doors in the back!!:B:h:S Sorry, I couldn't resist. I know, not all of us have an 'open' floor plan and actually have a man door into the garage.

RE: Rear Blinker Out

Hi - Did trailer light inspection before getting on the road the other day and my right (driver side) Trailer Blinker was out, break lights work just both (2 individual lights on each side) right blinkers were out, I have not checked the fuses yet but will... The rear lights are enclosed so you cant just replace a bulb you have to purchase the entire unit. My question is...Is it common that both enclosed blinkers would go out (brake light still works), I could see one going out but both going out and the brake light still working seems odd? Suggestions? My drivers side is on the left;):BI'd look at the plug for a good connection.

RE: Bed room mattressress

Bought a queen from Costco. I think the stock one was a little shorter but, only by a few inches. Fits well and priced great. Very comfortable. Me, too! Works great, and standard sheet sets fit like they were made for them. Oh, wait, they were.:p:B:C

RE: Electric Winch

I have a cheepee I got at Harbor Freight. I think it's rated at 1500#. I mounted it permanant in my front storage and ran the cable into the garage under the front steps. It loads my VW well.

RE: F250 WOW

Believe what you want as you are only fooling yourself guys. Those of us with knowledge and experiance know better. Stick with your brand loyalty even though they produced one of the worse light duty diesels of our time. Oh yeah, since you want to take it all personal when you shouldn't, your dog is ugly. Now you can take it personal. :) Mav Man!!!:E You beat me to it! Poodles:p:R:S Get a real dog.:B

RE: Jaw dropping video...Very Cool!

I'm not trying to belittle what they are doing because that takes talent and skills (not to mention the practice) most of us will never hope to control. And I also recognize that they are most likely making a living with it for now, but, can you imagine what they could do for themselves and others by focusing their talents in a more "useful" direction. I know, define useful, but I hope you get my drift.
