Tiffin Breeze

Just looked at the new Tiffin Breeze on RV Buddies and am really impressed with this concept. I have always had motorhomes under 30' and this being a DP will convince me to move up from my class C to this vehicle. I was considering a Winnebago Via but the Breeze seems to be a much better value. My only concern is that the stove and kitchen sink are in the slideout. For those of you who have a sink or stove in a slideout, is there any problems with connections since the piping must move with the slideout. Thanks

RE: Class A Body Work in Fort Worth, TX

My neighbor had his Phaeton repaired by an RV Fiberglass Body shop in Crowley. They did great work. I do not know the name but will ask him tomorrow. It may be listed in the yellow pages.

RE: Leaving for RVIA show this weekend.

With regards to the new Tiffin short DP Breeze model, I would be interested on chassis information since Tiffin is building the chassis. Who will perform service and warranty work on it and any other details. Thanks

New Tiffin Class A

Tiffin RV's is introducing a short 28' class A DP. The following site has details. If anyone is going to the RVIA Trade Show could you keep us posted on this RV. I believe that this RV will attract a lot of buyers who were looking for small RV's on the Sprinter chassis.

RE: pusher 30 to 34 ft

Tiffin's new Breeze will be a great addition to the choices available to motorhome users. It will be in direct competition with the Winnebago Via and it will be the better choice. I think it will win all the buyers who are looking for a quality built small coach.

RE: Small, Fuel efficient Class A Diesel

At a recent RV show Bob Tiffin stated that they are developing a 28-29 ft DP. It should come out around the end of this year. There was a previous thread on this.

RE: smallest pusher

According to Bob Tiffin at a recent Allegro Rally, Tiffin should have a new short 28' Diesel Pusher with two slides ready for the Louisville show this year. I think that this coach will be a hit with everyone who is wanting to downsize.

RE: A Future For The "FRED"?

One FRED that has not been mentioned and is now making its appearence is the Sprinter class A chassis which Winnebago is introducing in the VIA. I am sure this chassis will soon be used by other manufacturers also as they did with the Class C sprinter chassis. The smaller Class A FRED will be a major player if fuel prices get out of hand again. I am surprised that Damon has not come out with an Avanti in the 25-27 foot size to compete directly with the sprinter Class A and Class C. A 26' Avanti would probably get the same MPG as a sprinter Class A.

RE: Wingman Installation

Rotating the wingman will not work since it will only go on one side of the antenna. If I rotate the entire antenna assembly a few degrees , the antenna will still retract in the stow guides but be a few degrees off perpendicular. Will this matter. Does anyone have their sensar antenna not installed directly facing forward when stowed?

Wingman Installation

I installed the wingman on my winegard sensar antenna (easy) however when I retract the antenna, 2 inches of the wingman strike my vent cover. To correct this problem, I thought about rotating the head of the sensar 180 degrees and have the wing man facing out rather than in and thus solve the clearence problem. I have also thought about changing the alignment of my sensar antenna which is now installed directly in line with the direction of travel. If I rotate the antenna a few degrees the wing man will clear the vent but the antenna when retracted will not be directly facing forward but slightly faced at an angle. Will traveling wind affect this position. The third option I considered is to glue 2" Pvc to the bottom of the sensar or roof so that when the antenna is retracted, it rests on this pvc. Are any of these options viable or has anyone done something different. Thanks

Digital TV Reception

I have a Sharp HD-Ready LCD TV in my motorhome and added a Winegard HDTV Tuner to it to receive digital broadcasts. When close to the city I got signal strength in the 80-90 range and received many channels and a great picture. Went camping this weekend further from the metroplex and only got 49% readings with no channels available. Does anyone know at what strength an HD signal becomes readable and would a wingman help this low strength level get to the required level. Thanks

Direct TV Problem

Went out today and took my direct tv receiver with me. However when I hooked up the dish to it and tried to sight it, I could not get the set up instructions from my receiver. When I pressed menu and setup, it would go directly to the signal transponder strength screen and would not get off it to provide me set up info. What do I do to get it to the original set up screen. Thanks

RE: All DirecTV channels on Slimline 3 dish

I got the new slimline dish with the 5 LNB but have not had much luck getting it set up on my new heavy duty tripod. Woould it be easier to sight in if I changed out my 5lnb for a 3lnb. I do not need to receive my locals on 119. Thanks

RE: More High MPG Motorhomes

B Bob
The current Avanti is 31'10" but Damon is introducing a shorter 26' model. At the Ft. Worth RV show the Damon rep showed me a copy of the floorplan.
