RE: System heat switch for bay heater in Holiday Rambler

Turn the switch on.When the bay temp.is below about 40 the fan/heater will come on.The red light at the switch will also come on and stay on until the bay is wormed up.The switch light only comes on when the bay heater is on.
Check that the fan and heater is on when you see the light come on.

RE: Zacatecas Pemex

Thanks for the report.Thats good news. For as little business as that park does I didn't think Pemex would put any money into it.Will the pool be heated??

RE: Zacatecas Pemex

We have stayed at the Morelos Pemex/RV Park a number of times. It is a gated area beside the Pemex. The truckers use a different area to overnight. The RV (park) is lighted at night and most of the hookups work.W/E/S we have stayed there for a couple of days at a time to visit Zac.leaving our rig in the park with no problems. As far as long term parking goes I just don't know. The price is sure right and it's been very safe for us over the years.
I'm not to sure how easy it would be to get a bus from there into Zac.
Their is a restaurant on site and food vendors in the area.

RE: Best route from Arkansas to Fredricksberg, Tx

281 From West of Ft Worth to 290 then into Ferdericksburg is by far the best rought. Both 281 and 290 are good roads. No low bridges and light traffic.

RE: Bridge 2 Into Laredo Information Needed

X-ray at bridge 2 has been going on for at least 6 or 7 years.I have crossed there at least 10 times since 1999.You drive up to the X-ray machine and everyone will get out of the RV and walk across to the secondary inspection area.About 30 feet away. They X-ray about 3 vehicles at a time. The longest I have ever waited was about 30 minutes.

RE: Bridge 2 Into Laredo Information Needed

Stay in the far right lane on Blvd Luis Donaldo Colosio. It starts out as a 2 lane road, then goes to three lane as you get closer to the bridge. It may even go to a forth lane.Stay as far RIGHT as you can. That far right lane will take you UNDER the bridge to the Aduana. All other lanes go over the bridge. After turning in your paper work, turn right on the same road you came in on.That portion of the road is TWO way.You will cross Luis D.going back the way you came from.In about 1/4 of a mile do the returno and now stay in one of the left lanes.after paying the bridge toll move into the far right lane and cross the bridge. That will put you at the right US Customs booth to go straight into X-ray.

RE: 3-axle tire wear.

I had a triple Axle 5er for many years. The first set of tires had unusual wear in just a couple thousand miles.I had all three axles realigned. They were misaligned from the factory. After putting on all new tires, I had no more unusual wear on any tire.I would suggest having the alignment checked.

RE: Refrigerator problems Norcold 662

Had a 93 Ultrastar with the same fridge. The freezer stayed at about +5 and the fridge at +40 with the setting 4.
Open the outside cover clean the coils and install a computer box fan pointing up.If that doesn't help,it's time for a new cooling unit.

RE: Columbia Crossing

Bridge 2 is the southernmost point of I35.
Bridge 1 is a bridge About one mile West of bridge 2.It goes from the heart of downtown Laredo to the heart of downtown Nuevo Laredo
Bridge 3 ?
Bridge 4 ?
When coming N.on MX85 (about .5 miles past the Chrysler/jeep dealership)on the right you will see a sign that says:
Aeropuerto
Puente int. II y III
Turn right there. The airport is to the left.Bridge 2 is to the right.

Graydon..We stayed at La Penita RV Park for many years. Some years ago their were quite a few people staying in that park that crossed at Bridge 2 Laredo.
You might ask Carol if she knows who you could talk to about that crossing.

RE: Columbia Crossing

Yes, the returno back to bridge 2 is big enough for any rig with toad. That's what I drive. The US side going North...The far right lane is where the buses go.No sharp turns. You go straight into the X Ray area and then almost straight out to I35.
South bound on bridge 2,the US side is wide enough for a MH&toad. After you get over the bridge(MEX side) there is a tricky little curve but very doable.Mexican customs may stop you about one block into Mexico.A 50/50 chance.
That stop will be on the right side of the road. You must turn left at the first street after customs witch is only about 100FT ahead. After that left turn, in about 3 or 4 blocks you merge right back onto that 2 lane devided road heading to MX85.

RE: Columbia Crossing

BRIDGE 2--
Coming North on MX85.Do not turn on MX2 to Columbia.Stay on MX85.there will be a sign for the exit to the right for bridge 2.At that point you are about 4 or 5 miles from the immigration office. At turn to the right you are on a 2 lane devided road.At some points you will see that you are driving parallel to River.
Stay in the right lane.About one mile from the IMM office the road will become 3 lanes.Stay right. The key here is to stay in the RIGHT lane at all times. The left lanes go over the bridge. The lane that is furthest right will take you to a large IMM. building on the left with plenty of parking. All paper work is done there.(getting papers going S.or returning papers going N.
After you GET or RETURN papers,Back track the way you came in.Go to the first RETURNO,make that U tern and now stay in the left lanes to go over bridge 2
After you pay the toll for the bridge move to the right lane heading to US customs..

RE: Columbia Crossing

What has worked well for us for the past 10 years is bridge 2.We stay at Casa Blanca State Park for one night. We get to the park about 1pm,set up and take the toad over bridge 2 to get our paper work done.In about 1:30 minutes we are back in the USA.Last minute shopping and out to dinner. We leave Casa Blanca at day break and go back over bridge 2 and then on to MX85 heading South...
Going back North we use bridge 2 also.We turn in the paper work and then do the first returno to get back over bridge 2.We stay in the far right hand lane to get to US customs. That gives us a streight shot into Xray.Week days North crossing takes about 2 hours.
