RE: low rv manufacturing standarts

Its sad but all the quality MFGs are closed because of cost, i am not talking Now, but before all this job loss and the money crunch.
Most did not want to spend the money on a Quality built TT most chose the inexpensive way out, now they are paying for thier choises, and most will stand and say Not my TT or Unit, its Great.
I have spoken to several Techs like you and they all say the same thing as you.

RE: Incompetent, inconsiderate or just plain stupid. (long post)

People today are just inconsiderate and have no respect for anyone or anything except themselves, and there children do nothing wrong.
It makes it bad for those who do care and have respect and consideration for others, just to bad its getting worse than better.

RE: "How to back up a trailer without filing for divorce"

Try going to a empty lot and practice, one good thing to remember is when backing place you hand at the bottom of the wheel and turn the wheel in the direction the way you want the TT to go, Bottom line is Practice with the wife, one important thing also is not only looking side to side but look up also, with practice maybe a Divorce won't be next , Believe me I know what you are talking about.

RE: 8 Hour Drive Saves $1800..Would You?

Play his game. Have the dealers both print out the "out the door" price. Then bring it to your local dealer. Tell him you'll take his unit if he matches the other dealers price. If he won't do it...... walk! I bet he won't let you out the door.
If they won't or can't match the price aand you need service don;t exoect the dealer close to you to give you good service if you ever need it,
They will not refuse you but you will but they might take there good time in getting you in,and if its a serious issue you may have to make that 8 hour drive, but by all means try to get them to match the price

I can't believe you people. Did you stop thinking for yourselves and become so used to problems with something that you take the easy way out and ass ume that "they all do it". This is my 4th camper with a carefree awning and the very 1st one to leak. OKAY< I am a fanatic when it comes to cleanliness and mediocre workmanship as well we all should be. I paid almost as much money for my TT as I did for the TV. My dealer is the best in the business as far as I'm concerned. He spends a lot of time looking for defects and correcting them
We sorry that we can't think for ourselves, we can and do, but because you are an CLEAN FREAK You don't have to insult the others on here so why don't you just do your own thing and think for youself and stay in your own little world, with your coment you do not need any help from us.

RE: RV driving skills

You know what I don't get. Why do some people continually poke fun at others? How do they expect them to become better / smarter / or whatever if they straight practicing? As long as they are not injuring people and pets or damaging property what's the big deal? Do people know how petty they look when they continually make fun of other people who may or may not have some particular skill or knowledge? How is it that some people seem to get off being so critical of others over petty stuff?
I am NOT making FUN of others,If you own an RV then you should be able to do what you want with it Backing up or forward
If you can't then go and practice.
I have watched other do damage to power boxes, water hook ups site markers, Hit other Peoples TT Cars or MHs
Every one has some problem now and then even the Pros but some need help.
I have even tried to help, I asked first, by guiding them and some have told me to mind my own bussiness as they Back over a site marker.

RE: RV driving skills

IMOP I think you should have to take a driving test to Drive or Tow a RV, Right now anyone can buy a TT or MH and just drive it on tow it.
I too have seen some real good ones trying to back a TT or MH up, let alone go forward.

RE: Electric Tongue Jack-What to get....

There are 3 main brands that most on here use:
Barker
Atwood
UltraFab
We have a Barker. Whatever you get, get the larger one because most people upgrade to bigger trailers. You are lifting not only your TT but also the rear of the car so buy the 3500# model.
All 3 seem to have good customer service.
One time one of the members here gave a really good rundown on the differences of each for me. I'll see if I could find it and i'll post it here.
I agree 100%

RE: The best coupler lock for a travel trailer? opinions

Use what ever lock you think is best for you,as others have said Locks only keep honest people honest. A criminal is going to get through any device if they want it bad enough.

RE: tekonsha voyager brake hook up?

If you do not have a wiring diagram and nothing is marked Take the truck to someone that knows what goes to what have them do it and pay for it, instead of risking screwing it up and paying twice what it would have cost in the to have it installed.

RE: Found a 2005 in great shape

Yea they may drop the price or someone else will grab it, and if the tub-shower is the only thing thats holding you, its no big thing.
I don't think that anyone that purchased a TT has had to settle for something in it.
Oh I am sure that someone will post and say they got all they wanted and that to is possible.
Just remember if you want it,, if you snooz you lose

RE: Are RV sales that good or that bad?

Most dealers won't quote you just a price over the phone you have to go to the dealer in person and look at what you want a price on,most that call looking for a price never buy.if you are serious on what you want go to the dealer.
