RE: Help!!! House batteries not charging

Update on the batteries. With all the post talking about breakers it finally sunk in to my thick head that that was the problem and I had been there before. A 50 amp breaker under the hood. I had to wait until my son-in-law could come by and find it but it is charging now. Thanks for the input.

RE: Help!!! House batteries not charging

Yes the battery disconnect is closed. What is confusing me is why I can get 12v power to the house when plugged in to shore power but no voltage to the batteries. If the converter was bad the interior lights would not work.

Help!!! House batteries not charging

My house batteries are not charging and do not seem to be getting any voltage from the converter. I had the engine running yesterday and the house lights would not come on. I checked at the batteries and was getting 14 V from the alternator. Today I plugged in to shore power and it shows nothing getting to the batteries(they are still at 10.2 v)but the house lights will come on while plugged in. The MH has been stored all summer and I knew that they were not working right when I parked it last March but I thought it just needed new batteries, now I am not sure.I am wondering if it may be one of those relays under the hood. Going to take a trip before long so I need to get it fixed soon.

sway bar bushings

I just got my new bushings in the mail today and when I opened the box there is 2 small tubes of lubricant. There are no instructions with them. Is this to lube the bar or the bushing mounts?

sway bar bushings f53 ford

Can anyone tell me for sure? I just checked the sway bar bushings on the front and rear axils on the MH. The back are shot and coming out in crumbs and I know they need to be replaced now, already on order. The front are looking like they are OK but I don't know for sure. I checked them with my pocket knife and they are rubber of some sort(green) not black like the rear. Should these be replaced with the polyurethane bushings like the rear?

RE: Cracked Gray Tank

My black (looked like it was made from abs material)tank was leaking on the upper side near a hanger, a crack about an inch long. I was able to get to it to sand it real good and made sure it was clean. I got fiberglass mats (like the body and fender people use)at the auto store, abs cement from the hardware store. Coated the leak area with the cement, stuck on a mat and repeated this process about 5 or 6 times while the cement was still wet. That was 6 or 7 years ago and it is still holding.

RE: Speedometer fluctuating on F53

I had my sensor replaced at the ford dealer when I first got the MH. I did not know what the problem was at the time. If you are running with the cruise on when it quits working it will kick the cruise off.

RE: What Kind of fluid do you put in your jacks?

I also have Quadra (Bigfoot) jacks and low fluid will keeep the jack from going up. I just put new seals in one jack and it takes 46 ozs. dexron III when it is empty and each jack has its own reservoir.
