RE: BRP and Skyline Drive

After crawling along the 550 mile twisty BRP for the best part of a week you may enjoy just returning home on the interstates, maybe throw in Natchez Trace.

what can i expect fromm CAA if i need roadside assistance?

Still love traveling and touring but at 65yrs old tenting is no longer a feasible option in my case.. thinking of getting a Class C, was wondering about roadside assistance options such as breakdowns and subsequent towing or smaller problems like a flat tire.Would CAA be my best option? and is coverage in Canada and USA? Thanks

RE: Need international drivers license for Fla.?>

Went down to the local CAA office today here in Montreal and oh joy 4-5 hour line ups to get this stupid piece of paper. I'm starting to give serious consideration to another state for my spring break..:M Myrtle Beach is starting to look a whole lot less troublesome. Come down to Myrtle Beach. We've been here since the beginning of January but going home in two weeks. Already booked our campground for next year. :C ... Eric Just booked in for two weeks at the Sand Cove Resort in North Myrtle Beach. Florida can take its international drivers permit and shove it.:M

RE: Need international drivers license for Fla.?>

Did you notice the item was printed in the Montreal Gazette. All drivers licences in Quebec are printed in French only, I assume. International Drivers Licence are simply a translation of the info into the native language of the country you are visiting. Typicaly it's translated into 10 diferent languages. So... If your licence is in English, don't worry about it. Makes sense. much ado about nothing, just another unintended 'language law' consequence Heres a similar article in the Toronto paper, it seems to infer that all Canadians need this internationl drivers license.. The article The fines for non compliance will be similar to driving with no license at all the big winners are going to be the state quaffers that eager officers of the law are going to be filling by pulling over many Cars with Canadian plates. Just to add heres another travel advisory to tourists from the UK planning on driving in Florida. Looks global Who would i email in the Florida bureaucracy to complain about this direction of events? Here it is = the state Thanks

RE: Need international drivers license for Fla.?>

I can only imagine the field day Florida law enforcement officers could have with those Canadians who never got the message, lets hope a bit of lenience is shown in these early days..

RE: Need international drivers license for Fla.?>

Looks like another money grab as evidently fines for non compliance are high and the particular law is not widely known about.. Makes me uneasy as i am leaving for my yearly spring break in Fla.in 2 weeks so i doubt even if i commence proceedings to get the damn license today that it will be ready before my planned departure..

RE: How to save a diabetic traveler - out of cash

Obviously these types are panhandlers and are at the bottom of lifes barrel,i'll usually give a couple of bucks as its not for me to judge the extent of the persons need only that they are telling me they are in need and need some help, under most circumstances i'll gladly give. Be bummer to one day meet my maker and he says remember that pan handler you thought so little of that you delighted in making his day even more miserable? that was me,i was testing you..:S
