When you say fuel does that include diesel fuel in Big Bend? How hard is it to find while there? Thanks for any info.
There was diesel in the park and at Study Butte a couple of years ago. Study Butte fuel did not cost as much as in the park.

This link will give you the prices for shooting activities but I did not see skeet shooting. They have sporting clays so this may be the wrong Maverick Ranch.
We were in Lajitas about two years ago and I don't remember seeing the Maverick Ranch but Big Bend is a big place so we may have missed it.

Try telling them you can get the XPS Rib from Tirerack for $295.00 and see if they will meet that price plus mounting and shipping. Discount in Weatherford told me they would.
That was after Discount Tire had put on a Cooper for me.

I have a 4-season fifth wheel and I'd like to spend a couple of weeks there in January or February. Can anyone recommend campgrounds or RV parks that are open in winter?
It looks like this campground is open. I don't know anything about it but I think they are open. Give them a call.

This is where I got ours about two months ago. They are about $9.00 higher than they were then. I got the never adjust and have used the trailer a couple of times and really like them.
Just five bolts and two wires and you are go to go.

Yes it is not easy to get to. It is a C. O. E. Park and like most of them. It has been a few years since we were there but I think it is W & E and a dump. We were not bothered by airplane noise after dark so it was quite enough for us.

Our small crock pot uses 80 watts so we have not any problems with charging. It does smell up the trailer pretty good and that it makes it hard to eat cold-cuts for lunch. We also use the bags so clean up is easy.
Try it you will like it.

There is a vistor center near I76 with water and I think they have a dump. They told us we could spend the night if we wanted to.
It was pretty warm so we went South of the interstate a mile or two to a campground.

We stayed there a couple years ago. Campground is good and cell phone worked fine.
There is two railroad tracks that go real near the park. There was a flood a few days before we got there that had the railroad shut down. They got things going just as we got to the park. The backlog must have been huge because it was very loud for the time we were there.
