RE: Switching To Diesel

We have a fleet of 6.0 Diesels Amb. They been money pit. Our 7.3 have been bullit proof. Now we have no experience with the new 6.7 but what i been hearing maint cost on them high due some duplicate systems ie cooling systems cab has to come off for major repairs high pressure pump issues. Ford has told our shop directly unless you use oem parts or motorcraft they will void warrenty or not cover. Pls understand if i could trust a ford diesel i would buy it hands down. I love my fords but 6.7 has not proved itself yet. I might chose my words wrong. I come to this forum for info to help make a informed decision 55k in alot of coin. Not trying to pick a fight just trying to get real world info. thxs joe

dometic fridge

Just got back from the eastern sierras on father/son fishing trip. fridge was perfect no issues. On return home today stopped in bishop for gas and Schat's bread. Stuck things in fridge working fine. Got home warning light on said ck. It did same thing going up to sierras on the last trip. Last time just had to turn off/on and it relit fine. Is it possible for it to blow out on the road or do i have an issue. Tanks are full and fresh. joe

RE: Tundra Tow vehicle

4aSong, Are there wires or coil over plug? Ck the plug and make sure not cracked or fuel foweled. If ok put it back and replace coil or the whole set of wires. That should fix it. Go hot lap it and confirm repair. joe

RE: Tundra Tow vehicle

You have a miss on one or more cylinders. The flashing ck engine light is warning you that if you continue driving with a miss catalytic converter damage will accure because of raw gas going in. Would not drive.Seeing plugs were changed my guess without pulling codes would be bad plug wire. MasterTech 23yrs experience. joe

RE: what happen

Forgot to add oven would not light and had to restart the fridge. Maybe a bad regulator? I switched the tank at 6am from full tank to the low tank. My dealer sucks when it comes to warrenty service so want to get everything fixed before it's too late.

2011 6.2 towing Long Trip

Left Socal with full tank 35 gallons heading to the June Lake 7000ft. This was our first trip this far away and we managed 8.9 at 62 mph towing around 6400 lbs.
On our return trip which is down hill we averaged 10.3 at 65mph. We traveled 827 miles using 81.5 gallons at a cost of $360. Had to climb a 6 percent grade and found the truck was able to maintain around 60 mph. Numbers came from the truck. joe

what happen

Hi all please don't beat me up too bad. Was camping at around 7000 ft(june lake CA) for three nights. Propane tanks one was full the other was little less than 1/2
First two nights were perfect heater kept the TT around 64 degrees with plenty of battery. Outside temp got down around 35 very windy.Sat night lost heater around 2am and could not restart. There was no wind that night and it felt much colder that night.
Batteries were not an issue.12.3 volts. Around 6am was able to restart heater. What happen? Was told regulator froze. If so how do i prevent this. Joe

RE: Trans temp

love this truck. my 3rd F150. Very strong hp its amazing.Had truck dynoed 348hp to rear wheels and 378ftlbs torgue. Towing with this truck is quite stable and easy. Built in brake controller and center display with steering wheel control is very handy. You can program more than one trailer into the truck and keeps track of miles towed. back seat room with flat floor is great for ur passengers.Mileage well 12.3 city 17 hwy and towing low 9.8 high 12.9. This truck fully loaded at 50k. joe P.S Gave a 350z a run for his money!!!:B
