RE: Hanging A Clock

Many of the TTs that I have owned had a large head screw for the top of the clock and a velcro strip on the bottom . The velcro keeps the clock from bouncing up and unhooking from the screw. It also keeps the clock level.

RE: Our Journey Comes To A Screeching Halt!

Were the men from the tow company hold a gun when they give you the price for towing? Sounds like you were "held up" to me. This is why I have emergency roadside service.

RE: If you had a fully loaded RV where would you travel to?

Well I live on the east coast ... so I would point it west. There are so many places to see, that it could take a life time to visit everything in North America. If I had all the time in the world and the $$$, I would visit each state for at least a month and make sure that I saw everyting before moving to the next state. Thats my dream.

RE: Is there a life span of the pink antifreeze?

Based on the cost of a 1 gallon jug, I think it would be cheap insurance just to replace it.

RE: Might be in Hurricane Sandy's path

Was going to winterize my MH but I am holding off till next week just in case I need to move to the MH with it's generator. If I could, I would head to the other side of PA for the next week.

RE: Winterizing--Air vs Antifreeze

How do the new motorhomes ship from the factory?
I know TTs ship with antifreeze in the lines. I figure if the factory ships with antifreeze then there has to be a very good reason. Just my openion.

RE: Looking for Class A

two options
1. move it to a better location
2. use a very comfortable folding chair when you need to watch TV. Mine is very comfortable and reclines. It is great indoor and outdoor.

RE: More traveling in Summer then Winter, WHY!

Still working and try to use the MH 3 to 6 weeks a year ... all in the warm weather. During the winter, I'm working and dreaming of the next trip in the MH.

RE: RV'ers with No Goodyear G670 Problems

After reading all the reviews, I am replacing my GY in the spring before I take my first trip. The $$$ I spend for new tires could be less expensive then the damage from one blowout. Plus there is the safety factor which is my primary concern.

I switched to a dog bone when my small round adapter melted. You get what you pay for.

Can they come up with any more ways to make a profit?
If they want free ads on the back of my MH they should be paying me.

RE: Fuel mileage

My first trip was 6.8mpg My second 7.4mpg. I expect to average 7 mpg for the year. After checking the first two trips I stopped checking for two reasons.
One ... I really don't care and know what to expect
Second ... I'm going to use my MH regardless of the mpg. IMO, don't buy a MH if you have a problem with single digit mpg's.

RE: Do you carry a Battery Charger

I carry a basic battery charger and jumper cables. I got to a campground this year and the toad battery was dead. It looks like I had the key one click to far. Had to call roadside assistance. Now I would just plug in the charger and be ready to go in about 20 minutes.

RE: Help finding 4 lane roads

It sounds like you need more time to get use to your RV. One suggestion was made on RVNet a while ago and it helped me to get my MH running down the middle of the lane. I put a small piece of tape on the windshield where the double yellow line is in my sight. When the tape is on the line I am centered in the road. Put the tape on the outside and my tires are almost on the line. Works great going through road construction with concrete barriers. On highways I just sit in the right lane and let the crazy people get by. In two lane roads I run at the speed limit so I'm not holding up anyone. Just my $0.02 worth.

RE: Antifreeze quality

OK here is my $0.02 worth. My father would blow out his lines every year. The one year he has a frozen line. From then on to be safe, he added the pink stuff. Cheaper and easier then replacing a section of line that you might having trouble getting to. I attended a RV winterizing class one year. The Tech started the class by drinking a glass of the pink stuff. According to him it won't hurt you. That was about 20 years ago and he is still alive. I still think he is crazy but it did make a point. I blow out the lines and add the pink stuff every year. I believe that is the best way. I just flush the lines real well in the spring and have not had a problem in 38 years of camping.

RE: Winterizing in Pennsylvania

To be on the safe side, winterize by the end of Oct. Beyond that you are risking your waterlines.
