RE: MOTORCYCLE LIFT

Be sure and calculate what effect the weight of the scooter and lift will have on your rear axle weight calculating the leverage effect with the distance they are behind the axle. It can be a suprising big influence on axle weight. Considerably more than the actual weight of the two due to the leverage.

RE: Tire pressure on 16" tires

Using the pressure number on the sidewall will be safe for the tire. It may not be the "recommended" pressure for the weight but without weighting it will be safe. Too much pressure can result in unnecessarily hard ride and can make the tire ride on only the center of the tread.

RE: Heated basement

Look for 2" or so flex tubes coming from your furnace ducting through the floor into the compartments where your tanks are.

RE: Decal Removal

The eraser wheel is the only way to go! You need to realize when you remove a decal the shadow of it will remain as the sun has not been on the surface under it and that surface will not be oxidized. You will never get that shadow to go away. When I stripped all the badly cracked striping off of my '86 class C I masked and painted them back on.

RE: San Juan Islands

There is a nice county park on the West side of San Juan Island. The movie "Practical Magic" with Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock was filmed there. I don't believe they have hookups. Check with San Juan County Parks Department. It looks across the Straits of Juan deFuca at Victoria, BC.

RE: New Awning

That $450.00 wind sensor can fail. One rocker switch on the bottom of the front arm pressed for 20 seconds won't likely fail and you won't have to wonder if the automatic is going to work if you go away and leave it out. There is something to be said for simplicity.

RE: New Awning

+1 to what Larry said. We have a Eclipse and have it set for almost maximum tilt all the time. We also have a Carefree see-through Sunshade that we leave in the roller slot and it winds up with the awning. I had about a foot of a color matching vinyl added to the bottom of the shade and had five grommets installed along the bottom so I can stake it down.
One great thing about the Eclipse is there are no arms to walk into it is all above head height.
I installed only the switch in the bottom of the front arm. The rest of the electrical stuff is a waste of time.

RE: Exceeding Weight Ratings / State Inspection Stickers

The reason you have insurance is to cover your loss when you do something dumb. Doing something stupid or illegal will not void your insurance.
They may raise your rates or cancel you after the fact but you will be covered.

Go to wisesales.com and scroll down to the bottom of the generator accessories section and see if that would work for you.

RE: Door lock is stuck

If it is the typical Tri-Mark door latch that many RV's use often the tang on the back of the latch bolt breaks off. About the only way to get it open is to drill holes from the outside until you can get at the latch spring-pull it out then drill a shallow hole in the back end of the bolt so you can stick some kind of pry into the bolt and pry it out of the door jamb. It is a common failure and regularly stocked by most good RV repair shops in both black and white. Been there--done that.
I drilled a series of holes in the cast aluminum in a circle and broke the center of the circle out. Did it in a State Park.

Wilson has very good tech support people. Call them and explain what you have and they will steer you straight.I have their amp and their indoor flat panel antenna on a pole outside and I get service when noone else does (-:

Spic and Span liquid houshold cleaner. Mix a little bit strong. Best I have ever found for streaks and other normal stored outside gunk. Makes that green slime melt away.

My guess you will regret using a 120v only refer. For one thing it would almost completely eliminate using any non-hookup sites.

RE: Older Generator... Repair or Replace ??

You did nothing wrong running the generator while driving in hot weather. That is what it is designed to do. 500 hours on a Onan is nothing.
