RE: Sciatica and effectiveness of treatment

The epidural did nothing for me. Surgery did. Follow Dr recommndations after surgery to a t and you should be fine. (if you go that route)

RE: Another brand bites the dust

"The union announcement said members fear the investment firms currently owning Hostess will liquidate the company. “The current CEO, Greg Rayburn, was originally brought on as a consultant because of his expertise in corporate liquidations. He has absolutely no experience running a baking company and the Wall Street investors that own the company have absolutely no interest of rebuilding the baking business,” the union said."
So, knowing full well what would happen, the union pushed the buttons to ENSURE it would happen NOW instead of later, to force the company to liquidate just before the holidays, thus making Management the bad guys.
Spin control at its finest, you betcha!so let me get this straight.............the union and members gave concessions so the company can retool and get competitve. The executives took that concession money, did nothing to upgrade the factories, took that money and gave raises and bonuses to all the execs and you think the workers should give more concessions.
I am with the workers on this. This is just another money grab ala Kaybee Toys, Wall Street does not care if Hostess survives, they loaded the company with debt. Look up what happened to Kaybee toys, a profitable company till it was bought out by Wall Street with a borrowed deposit, then they borrowed millions against it, made it impossible for kaybee to pay back then let it go and wall street walked away with millions with not even a deposit coming out of their pocket

RE: Another brand bites the dust

The real story
Hostess Brands is in bankruptcy for the second time in eight years. “Since the first bankruptcy in 2004, BCTGM members across the country have taken dramatic wage and benefit concessions and watched as 21 Hostess plants were shut down and thousands of jobs lost,” the union said. “At the time of the first bankruptcy, Hostess workers were assured by management that money saved via concessions or plant closings would help make the company stronger, more vibrant, and more competitive.
“Instead, helpless Hostess employees watched as money that was supposed to go toward capital investment, product development, plant improvement and new equipment went to executive bonuses and payouts to the hedge funds that own Hostess Brands. They watched as the company illegally withdrew from all Taft-Hartley pension plans, saving more than $50 million in the first five months. The BCTGM learned that the then-Hostess CEO was to be awarded a 300 percent raise, and at least nine other top executives were to receive raises ranging 35-80 percent.”
The union announcement said members fear the investment firms currently owning Hostess will liquidate the company. “The current CEO, Greg Rayburn, was originally brought on as a consultant because of his expertise in corporate liquidations. He has absolutely no experience running a baking company and the Wall Street investors that own the company have absolutely no interest of rebuilding the baking business,” the union said.

It will take a long time for them to come back. Long Island is a mess and the Jersey Shore is even worse.

RE: jcapps 5000 and counting

Been on Long Island for a week helping with hurricane relief. Flew in to help some friends who's homes were flooded 4' What a mess. Boats in the middle of streets 3 blocks from where they were docked. Boats half inside homes. The area I am in is surrounded by channels. So much destruction here.
