RE: Satellite Dish Holder Mod

/Users/scottsnider/Desktop/dish & tripod.png If this came out right with a pic of my tripod, we have never had a problem with the wind yet. I got the tripod from and installer for a very minimal price.

RE: Nervous wife

Go for it and I know what you mean about a wife that does not want to go, mine does not want to take the time off to go to yellowstone. Now that I up graded from a jeep cherokee to a ford f-150 (2006) I want to go as the truck in still in its prime. I want to take 2 weeks and she says that is to long. As for road side service I have AAA plus with RV and have had to use it once. Driver said its the best in the 30 years he has been a driver and seen many sit and wait wishing they had AAA. Hope you go and have fun. I am in Orange County just west of you.

RE: Purchased a trailer...what was I thinking?

I also want to welcome you to the rv.net group and hope to see your post on here and the community side some time and you might want to ck that side out some time. I want to say I agree with all that has been posted so far and one thing you may not have thought of, hurricanes now you have a home on wheels to escapee with and not have to put up with costly hotels or motels. I was looking to move to SC at one time last year, but it did not work out, but that was one thing I was thinking of is I could escapee and get away. Enjoy and have fun meeting others out there and as you do it you will find the time to go.

update for my many friends here

As some have followed I have a new TV from a jeep cherokee sport to a ford f-150. Got the electrical done last week and yesterday got the hitch set up with the levelers and the mirrors are in a good place and will not have to use the add ons so it looks like we are good to go. I should not have the tail wagging the dog again with this new TV. Thanks for all the help in the past to all of you.

RE: Direct tv or dish network

I have Direct TV and love it, then one day I was talking to an installer and ended up getting a dish and tripod and new box for about $100 and one for another camping buddy and another $100 from him. then set up with DTV and cost another $5 each for each box and get everything I get at home. Buddy pays me also the $5 each month. What a deal for me. Hardest part is the set up each time but I find the signal and off we go to tvland.

RE: What do you consider......

Mine is box of 16 and 21 over all and love it, just right for the two of us, but moved up to a f-150 to tow with as the jeep cherokee was under powered and was a tail waging the dog situation. As for the trailer it has all we need and then some.

question for all after reading liberty's question

Its about weight for towing, I just got a f-150 with a 4.6 v8 with a tow pkg, 2006. My trailer is a rockwood mini lite, dry weight is about 2500 which I figure about 3000 lbs with out water. Also rear end is 3:55 what ever that means? It is also a super cab. What do you all think should it be ok???

where to put the break controller

This question if for those that have a f-150, were do you have your break controller? The insider of the truck is very up and down not much of an area to put it were I could read it and use it. So again looking suggestions.l
