RE: Branson Missouri Campgrounds

We usually stay at Table Rock State Park. This time of year sites may be limited. We also stay at the RV lot behind Lamberts. Its a 30 minute drive to Branson. Its $20 per night with full hookups. Its close to Springfield proper and not too far from Bass Pro Shops. My $.02 worth...

RE: BRAKE BUDDY LOCKUP.

23K miles and counting on ours... Works as designed. I ALWAYS bleed off the vaccuum from the booster on the car by depressing the pedal about 6 or 7 times. THEN, I plug it in, wait for the pressure to come up. Set the sensitivity per weight instructions that came with the unit. THEN I hit the TEST button a couple of times. Before we get on the highway, when I have the opprotunity, I hit the brakes. I Feel a TUG and a release. If I DONT feel the release, I would get out and check the BB to be sure it released. I haven't had to do that yet... Our Transmitter/receiver quit working about a year ago. I just trained myself to feel the Tug/release... Hope it all works out... My $.02...

RE: Springfield Missouri RV Park

The RV lot behind Lamberts is only $20.00 per night for full hookups. We stay there CONSTANTLY when visiting DS. We use it as home base when we travel to Springfield to visit and its only 35 minutes from Branson. Have fun!!!

RE: Thinking about renting RV for first time

As I say...Seatblets for 7, but only sleeps two.. hehe :) I personally wouldn't want to take more than the number of available seat belts. To me, safety comes first.

RE: cleaning

For removing bugs from the front cap, I use dryer sheets soaked in a bucket of plain water. Once wet, these little dudes are SLIPPERY!!!! Also they provide a bit of texture to clean the surfaces. Then I follow up with a good washing using blue coral liquid wash. If time and energy permits,;P I follow with a spray detailer from turtle wax. As far as the roof goes??? I use the same stuff with a sponge mop. I only wash the roof maybe twice a season. Once right after storage for the winter and once during the season. I should prolly treat / wash it before storage too. I hope I can find the energy some where... :) Have a GREAT day!!!!

RE: Odor Problems - HELP!!

I installed the Tornado system in our black tank. After dumping, I close the tank valve and turn on the rinser. I run it until it is 1/3 full. Then, I dump and repeat. I have a "Flush King" connector that is clear. I hook that up after completing my rinse cycle just to be sure I have all the "Goodies" out. If not, I repeat the rinse cycle. Works for us!! Good Luck!!!

RE: using water pump

I have the same conversation with my FIL. No matter if I tell him otherwise. WHen on City water, *I* don't use the pump. Don't have too. He still does. I guess, different strokes....

RE: Jacks Stuck down

Only issue we had with our LCI jacks is that they somehow, lost the ZERO. No matter how we tried, we couldn't get them to level via the auto feature. Had zero level reset. (leveled the coach manually) and had the dealer do the deed. on our 4th season and all is well... (Knocking on wood) Glad to hear what it was. Now if OURS fails like your did, I know where to look.

RE: Egging a motorhome, why??

Well I guess I was the odd kid out when I was younger.I never ever egged any ones properity or cars or trucks or Rv`s.Maybe because it was out of respect of others things or it just might be if my dad had found out I would have got a good a** kicking. How times have changed. Ditto here... now adays, you issue a little corporal punishment (A$$ slapping) you are reported to CPS... Dad did catch my brother and I doing knock and run... NOT a happy night... Do you folks remember the old canvas belts with the shinny slip buckle??? *I DO** :E

RE: Newbie question

You can find a Laundromat almost anywhere. And then... there is My "emergency" method... Thank goodnes for Boy Scouts of America!!! 5 gallon bucket and lid. 1 plunger. Cut a hole in the lid to fit plunger handle. Put small amount of clothes in bucket with water and detergent. Insert plunger thu bottom of lid and snap on bucket. Aggitate with the plunger. Repeat above with clean water to rinse and line dry. Works for me!!! I used to go to summer camp with 3 days worth of "Day" clothes. Uniforms excluded. My $.02 worth. Save the extra space for other stuff!!

RE: Branson area must-sees?

Branson Belle, Dixie Stampede. 57 Heaven museum is cool. The Butterfly palace is not on my short list. To Expensive just to look at a bunch of bugs.. :) Shepard of the Hills is fun as is Silver Dollar City (Season pass holder). If you buy the day pass, you can get the option for Celebration City AND WHite water (If thats your kinda thing). LOTS of great places to eat. Lamberts is FUN!!! But.. you better be prepared to stand in line. There is an "RV" Park right behind Lamberts. Its $20.00 a nite with full hookups. Our DS is at MSU and he lives in Springfield proper. The CG is not IN Branson but only a 30 minute ride. We stay there rather than go to a Theme CG. Table Rock Lake State Park CG is a******shoot. Its always full, UNLESS you go during the week. Be sure to get a Route Map. That will come in handy. Have a great time!!! We go down there almost once a month and take advantage of holiday and long weekends. A full report is requested upon your return.. ;)

RE: Brake Buddy verification

My Transmitter quit working as well. I just keep the sensitivity set around 6. If I brake hard in the MH, I feel that little "Tug" from the toad. THEN I know the BB is working. My $.02...

RE: Too many miles in one day

I don't like to drive more than 5 or 600 miles in a stretch. Only ONCE have I driven over 1100 miles in one day. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Not that I don't like driving mind you... It just takes it toll. My $.02... Have a great day!!!

RE: Why I don't like Fords

Since you are going with the Top End rebuild, why not bypass the Cast exhaust Manis, and get yourself a set of Doug Thorley Headers? There shouldn't be any additonal labor. They already have it apart and they bolt right on... I'd opt for the headers AND the New Engine but thats just me... :) Keep us posted!!! Good luck

RE: toilet valve sticking

I have heard folks just pouring some mineral oil in the bowl and let it set for an hour or so. From what I read, it will also lubericate the knife valves for the Black tank. I may try this when we winterize this fall... My $.02...

RE: Why I don't like Fords

I have owned Ford products since i began to drive over 30 years ago. I STILL Do... Yes, my 5.4 Expy broke an exhaust bolt, passenger sider, rear. I replaced it.. Yes it was a pain... My DS's *Dad,...I gotta have it* Jeep GC 5.2L AWD had more issues than I care to remember. Exhaust, Transfer case... Bad Front axle assembly... It goes on and on.. Its a luck fo the draw with ANY USED vehicle... Thats why I buy new. I know I take a considerable amount of DEPRECIATION buy I known whats up with each vehicle. My FIL says I have more $ than sense. I laff at that when I pick him up at the Cadillac dealer when he drops off the "Ville" for more work... To each his own... I prefer FORD over GM... bottom line..
