In many cases yes. It's happened to me before and I've taken my setup to a shop because I was concerned and they said everything was fine.
Of course, check out all the connections and be sure everything is tight. You might spray some WD40 on various areas to see what quiets it down. That can at least let you know where it's coming from so you can check that area extra carefully.
I would not use WD-40, it's a solvent, not a lubricant. If you are going to lube, get some hitch ball lube, it's usually a white grease, won't attract dirt like WD-40 will.

When you are not hooked up to city water, the pump switch will turn on the water pump to draw water from your water storage tank. So if you will be camping somewhere without water hookups, you will still have water pressure for the sinks and showers.
