RE: rv transporting

Log it as off duty. You do not need motel receipts to prove to the DOT where you stayed for the night.Unless your in Cally--they seem to have their own rules there.

RE: Electric bed motor help

Somewhere in AZ is one of the largest salvage yards. Can't find the link, but I know the salvage yard here in Fl uses them to get parts if they don't have them.

RE: Winterizing FIre Extinguisher

It is a good idea to shake it in the spring. You will know if it clumped up inside. And usually replace them around 4/5 years old anyhow.

RE: Was this the right RV

Well since you already bought it,it must of seemed like the right size for you. With a small one you don't haul all of the junk you don't really need.Mine is a 40'TH and I take everything-even the big BBQ grill.:B

RE: rv transporting

Transporters had my newly ordered TT for about 2 weeks till the dealer got it. I was wondering if they were testing out all the features while camping! It was probably sitting in a lot waiting for a transporter to come get it.Not may doing it now due to only paying about $1/mile.

RE: Tire Pressure Monitors-Ease of Applying Sensors

On a dually, just wait till you rotate your tires to install the other sensors. And make sure you have metal valve stems.

RE: Roof Antenna

Don't use mine for tv,but have the wi-fi antenna bolted to it so I can raise and lower it as needed.

RE: Have any of you used this?

Not Suitable For Use Inside Your Toyhauler....Just thought id throw that out there. :) Was thinking if I had it under the roof vent it would work in the garage:S.Guess I can save the $$ to do other mods.

RE: Another New 5th wheel owner

One foot seems awful close. When I hitch up I can walk between the lowered tailgate and the trailer. But you made it home so guess it is all right--unless in the day light you see a big hole in the front of the 5'er.

RE: How much did it cost you to camp last year?

The times I try to get a big trailer in a small spot with everyone watching/drinking beer...fun for them....after I get in and set up,grab chair & beer and watch the others try to park..priceless.

RE: Toyhauler and size truck

We pull the 3612 DS Raptor with an08 F-450 DRW crew cab 4X4. Absolutely no probs....except never pass up a truck stop even though we carry an extra 100 gallons of diesel....but remember: you never see a trailer behind a hearse...so spend it. It helps the economy:)) Johnny and Ruthie Lane. Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Well you have now. clicky

RE: Solution to everybody's problems...except tires

Wonder how much $$$? 'Bout $10,000 with some options; $12,000 with more options. Sure be strange to see a Suburban, H2 or Expedition towing a fiver with one of these! :-) Now, me, I'd want one with a B&W Turnover Ball so I can pull both my gooseneck and my fiver. :-) Lyle You can tow a 5'er with a Suburban http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-WKwRZQjHc

RE: Can emergency tow services take your FW??

Guess that explains the saying "7 out of 10 Fords are still on the road". 3 made it home, other 7 waiting on a tow. But it does happen to all trucks, guess Ford owners not afraid to say they break down.:h

RE: Solution to everybody's problems...except tires

I like the first line "Made in USA with nearly 100% American made components" and also likely increase braking. But it looks like a take off of the old "Watson dolly" of the 60's that you used for pulling TT with cars to take the weight off the hitch. Wonder how many here remember the Watson? :h

RE: Lippert bent slide motor mouting brkt's. (long- lots of pics)

Had the same identical problem with my lippert slide.Brackets bent so bad it need a new actuator. It actually snapped a part off inside the tube.Pain to straighten those brackets. Then on reinstall I tack welded it in place.
