RE: Trip out west

I thought it was Klamath, OR, is there a Klamath Falls too?

Trip out west

My wife and I are contemplating a "major" RV trip out west from Pa to Klamath, OR to visit her sister. Time frame would be late spring 2014, and we were thinking about a southern route out, northern route back home (due to weather considerations). This would be a trip of several months, and we will have a new class A motorhome for the trip (gas engine, 32-34 ft). Is there a resource of trips similar to this already made by members that we could research?

RE: Route from Spring Grove, Pa to Hickory Run St. Park

Thanks Wildcat :) Unfortunately I did not see your message till today. We took Rt 222 N to Rt 100, then 78 for one exit to Rt 476 Turnpike Ext. to Rt 80. This route worked out okay, but next time we'll try your suggestion. I hear things are not to bad with the situation on Rt 81 where the accident took out one of the offramp bridges...

Route from Spring Grove, Pa to Hickory Run St. Park

Hickory Run is near White Haven, PA off of Rt 80 and Rt 476. We usually go up Rt 83 to Rt 81 then Rt 80 East, but due to the bridge/road problem thinking about using Rt 222N to Rt 78 and then the Northeast Turnpike extension (RT 476). Not sure about the best way to get from 222 to 476, has anyone done this before, sure would appreciate any advice from past experiences. TIA Jim p.s. at the bottom of this editbox there are options to "Subscribe", etc., etc., what dos that mean, subscribe to what?

RE: 2013 Escape Flat Tow

Too bad for Ford, but it looks like I need to look elsewhere for a new vehicle to flat-tow behind my motorhome, and I wonder if they're concerned that they might be loosing sales (probably not)? The Honda CR-V looks interesting.

RE: 2013 Escape Flat Tow

We did not see the owner's manual as the salesman logged on to the Ford web site to check it out for 2013/2012. How much trouble is it to install a pump (can a dealer do it), does it cost much, and how would that effect the vehicle's warranty? Sorry for all the questions.

2013 Escape Flat Tow

We're confused about the capability to flat tow a Ford Escape. The 2012 MH Dinghy guide advises you can flat tow a 2012. The Ford dealer checked the Ford web site for the 2013 Escape, and it advised "NO" to flat towing the 2013. I asked him to check the 2012 and it said "NO" also, contradicting the MH Dinghy guide. Is anyone flat towing a Ford Escape, 2012 or 2013 models?
