RE: budgeting on the road

We are getting ready to set out. After much research and figuring we think we can go on $115 a day. This is everything included for us, insurance, food, entertainment, meds, dogfood, the works. RV-Dreams is a great source to work from.

RE: Biggest issue about keeping TT at home

We live in a semi rural area, lots of houses, but not housing developments. We have an older black gentleman with a heart of gold living across the road from us with his lawnmower junk yard. While "Pops" is a great guy that will give you his last dollar, his junkyard dog prowls an area about 4 houses out in all directions, about a 1/2 mile area. This mutt knows what cars and trucks belong in what driveway and who is a stranger. Its funny watching him make his rounds, going up on each porch, sniffing around side doors, etc. Never bothers other animals, but a delivery driver catches h@** opening his door to drop off a package.

RE: Fallen in love with a Carri-lite

This is our second Carri-Lite, and no they are not lite... But they are but to last, haven't had any of the issues of the lippert frame rv's, and have held their value even with the company gone. Our 36max1 tips the scales at 17.5k- set up for fulltiming.

RE: Pull rite 5th wheel hitch concerns???

We fulltime. If we are traveling where there are fuel stops, or other stops necessary, then I put a padlock in the hole that the release handle goes thru. We have approx 4500 miles with this RV and probably 18-20k with our old one. It has always latched and locked. If it doesn't latch, lower the 5'er and try again. I have never had an issue with their design, and would buy one again if needed.

RE: Final Garage Sale!

RE: To BIG?

We fulltime in our 38' Carrilite- its 36' of living space, 3 slides, 101" wide so the inside is a full 8' across. The ladder and pin are included in the 38'. I fully agree in not over loading your tow vehicle.... been there done that...
