RE: tv antanna

It even has a platform at the base of the roof that wobbles around to.It does seem to be like its loose. It cranks up and down real good all except hearing a spring like stretch or something.I will get around trying the nut soon. Thanks for the replies.

RE: steer safe

I have three extra already. All i would have to get is one if need be.I dont think it will be a problem as long as i take it a little at a time.I plan on starting with a half an inch and see if i see any improvment.

RE: steer safe

I have found someone on another forum that has done the longer eye bolt theory with great success. They bought the eye bolts from home depot.I think it will work.I will just put another inch on them and test it out.I have been under this thing several time and i am sure it is installed correctly. The only thing that i wasnt sure of was thej hook.Evertime i would go to tighten it down it would twist.I called steer safe and they said i was tightening it down to much.

RE: steer safe

It seems to me that with longer eye bolts i can slide the fulcrum further back than i will have the extra threads to pull the springs back further.Am i wrong with this theory?

steer safe

I finally got everything put together with my steer safe stabilizer. There not enogh tension on the srings and i was thinking maybe i couldget some loger eye bolts to get the tension that will give me the right feel to the wheel. It has better returnabitiy but lacks on fatigue.fixing Constant correction is what i am going for and the only improvement i see so far is better returnability and that not much.I had all front end components checked and 3 alignments.I wont to get your opinions on the longer eye bolt theory.

RE: wireless backup system

I have a 28' fifth wheel and have no problem. However the unit I bought came with about 20' of cable that goes from the camera to the transmitter. This allowed me to run the line through the cabinets and then attach the transmitter to a side window shortening the distance between transmitter and the monitor. Definitely get the 7"monitor as it really makes a difference. I found the small monitor practically useless.
how did this make the install easier compared to a wired install.

wireless backup system

I was thinking about getting a 7" monitor with wireless mounted rv backup camera from tadi brothers. It says it has optimal reception for up to 65 Feet.I have a 30ft coach.Would this be a good purchase when it comes to wireless? Also would I need to drill any hole other than mounting the camera.

RE: gauge

Thanks,I guess since it is going in the rv i will look for one that just says vacuum gauge.I assume keeping it somewhere around 5 when cruising will get me the best milage.

RE: rv generator

I have that problem as well..
My suggestions
First: This assumes ONAN and is from the ONAN manual.
Press and hold the STOP side of the switch, when the light comes on, hold another 10-30 seconds, then try and start it.
If that does not work,
Press "START" briefely, (let it turn over like one time) pause for like 30-60 seconds and try again.
Finally (this too is from the manual) Do not let it sit more than a month Pick a date (I use the 1st) and if you are planing on a move SHORTLY wait for hte move, (I move every 2 weeks so I wait) otherwise run it 1/2 hour under at least 1/2 load.. I will plug in heaters or fire up air conditioners to get to that 2,750 watt point (My unit is a 5500) This is very important.
When you prime it do you use the switch on the generator or inside the coach.
