RE: Anyone towing Buick Enclave with Gas V10 Class A?

Keep me posted. Iam actually looking at Ford Edge now to buy and use as my daily and tow car. Would be around 7-800 lbs less, coming in at 4k.

RE: Anyone towing Buick Enclave with Gas V10 Class A?

Everything has been weighed and the Enclave is towable 4 down. I would be close to max weight on everything, and don't really care for that, but that is the only car I have that is even close to working.

Anyone towing Buick Enclave with Gas V10 Class A?

Hi all
Looking to see if anyone has experience towing a Buick Enclave with a Gas Class A? The hitch on mine is 5k, and the Enclave is close to that limit at 4800. I want to use the ReadyBrake tow system. We usually are in the Texas to Fla area, so not climbing any mountains. Looking for any issues towing the weight. I have already weighed, etc, and have years of towing boats, horse trailers etc, with a truck.
Thanks

RE: Motor Home Specialist

Hi
I bought a new 2012 Coachman Encounter at MHSRV dec of 2011. They made a decent deal on my trade, and the best price I could find on the unit I wanted. This past dec took my unit back for a few warranty items and they were very helpful in getting all items resolved. Some friends of ours recently took their class C there and traded up to a 3008 Class A. We both recommend them and would look to use them in the future.

RE: Towing MKX/Edge

Looks like in motorhome towing guide, it does not state to pull fuse. Both car instructions are the same." Run engine at beginning of day for 5 minutes (shift into drive, then reverse, and neutral) and every 6 hours thereafter.

RE: What are you towing with your GAS Class A?

All, the way I load, I come in just under 22k. I think I have decided to get a Honda CRV, 3300lbs for our 4 down dingy.

RE: Rear Bath Gas Coaches

Like anything, pros and cons to all. I have a 37' Coachmen Encounter, full wall slide and full bath in back, 1/2 bath in middle. King bed. Lots of kitchen counter space. We use both all the time, as we tailgate a lot with friends, and sometimes have lines at both. Also, good when just the two of us. Fully loaded 22k, and purrs down the road.

RE: What are you towing with your GAS Class A?

All, these are great comments. I should of added, how does it tow with what you are towing. Esp, the heavier toads. We have a Buick Enclave, and it comes in about 4800lbs and my hitch is 5k.
Keep the comments coming. Love to see the rigs and set ups.
Thanks

RE: 50 Amp Extension Cord

I carry 2 - 15' 50 amp, and 1- 25' 30amp ext. Use them at the beach when front in facing the water and hook up at the front. Have used when mulitple rvs using large power strip at college football games. Use at my house, as I can't back in. Use at my folks farm, as the plug is too far away.

RE: Help Please KingDome question

Not sure what Bell service is. I had direct tv and it worked fine but no HD signal. Only way I could get HD was to change to DISH. Then it was great. At one point mine stopped finding the birds, and I had to swap out one of the computer boards inside. But I needed the keyboard I was talking about before to find the problem.

RE: Help Please KingDome question

You can make it work. But you need the programming keypad that plugs into the unit, then with your manual program it to your service. You may need to call the company for help. If you dont have a keypad, an RV place can do it, but I would order one off ebay and do it yourself.
You can get multiple sats but will need to leave it on so it can shuttle between them when you change the channel. You will need to do a scan disk to get it to recognize the 110 and 119 sats. And when you change channels you will need to do it from the guide onscreen, dont just surf the channels.
