Slideout problem

I have a 2006 Monaco Monarch SE 30PDD on Ford Chasis. It has a front slideout and a bedroom slideout. The front slide works fine, the bedroom slide will not operate at all. It was fine the last time I moved and brought it in, now nothing. I have checked all fuses etc I could find and all are ok. This is a powergear electric slide. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated. Thanks. John 2006 Monaco Monarch SE

RE: Problem with roadside assistance

@jdb7566, my experience with GSRA has all been positive. They have always worked well for me. I have never needed a tow and hope I never do. I understand GSRA rules and policies as does my brother-in-law. We may not like all of them, but we understand them. Hopefully positive changes will come from legitimate complaints that will be beneficial to both GSRA and the customer.

RE: Problem with roadside assistance

@wbwood, yes the town is not that large, about 12000 population. It is the county seat and has numerous wrecker services. Several wreckers in the area, including dealerships, are participants in other roadside assistance programs but none are GS that I am aware of anyway. It just does not make sense that a wrecker has to be called from that far away when others are within minutes of the person in need. There has to be a better way for GS to do this. He had no problem with paying the differnce to take his vehicle to another place, just having to wait for up to 2 hours for the wrecker. GS Roadside Assistance is going to contact him regarding this situation, so its good to know they are willing to talk to folks who have troublesome situations. Thank you for your reply

Problem with roadside assistance

I have never posted a negative item about GS, so this is a first. It actually concerns my brother-in-law and a couple of times he tried to use GS roadside assitance. Monday he was in town in his auto when he had a disabling event happen to the front end of the vehicle. The breakdown meant he needed a wrecker. He called GS and was told they would cover the tow for the 2 miles or so to garage but not the extra a.5 miles to have it taken to his house. He was ok with that so they told him a wrecker was coming and it would take about 1 and 1/2 hours to get to him. He is broke down in the middle of town, not out in the sticks. He asked where the wrecker was from and it was coming from a town over 50 miles from him. He told them there were dozens of wreckers within 3 or 4 miles from him and they said that was nearest one in their system. They also told him that the wrecker driver said he would not be responsible for any damages that might happen. He told them to cancel the wrecker and he would take care of it himself. This situation was totally stupid to call a wrecker from that far away in the first place. GS sam needs to get their act together. He also told me he was going back to him old ERS.

RE: Drivers seat extender

Getting some drivers seats to rotate is a pain, and some may be impossible. I read on one forum that some want rotate because the seat was improperly installed at the factory and the seat-steering wheel alignment was off.

RE: wiper blade replacements

@Randallb, the part number is easy to find but hard to read as Monaco put it on the back side of the setup. It is a white tag with the black numbers. Used mirror to get them. Thanks for your help. @Belgique, the TruVision blade that fits mine is TV8-28. Thanks

RE: wiper blade replacements

A follow up on wipers. This afternoon wife and I were in a neighboring town. We stopped a WalMart. While there I looked at what wiper blades they had. They had Bosch 28" blades which our local store did not. These Bosch wipers came with an adaptor for the 4x12 hook. I bought one to try. The slot was wide enough for the 4x12 hook but the adaptor that came with it would not lock the blade to the hook. I took the adaptor from the old Dyna blade, inserted it in the Bosch, and it worked perfectly. So if you need blades the Bosch 28" and up should have 4x12 hook adaptor. For about $9.00 it was worth it. Not as heavy duty as the Dyna but it works well. Wife has to go over there again tomorrow on business so she will pick up another for the other side.

RE: wiper blade replacements

@Randall, I had dealer do this a few days back when my MH was in for some work. The motor only has a monaco label and number. Dealer ordered the wipers and they sent the wrong ones. Thanks, John

RE: wiper blade replacements

@Raymon, thanks for that info. I will order a set Monday. By the way, do you happen to know what they mean by 4x12 hook? I am guessing it means the hook is 4mm thick and 12mm wide.

@ Iryrob9301, I looked at hese on line but am unable to tell if they have the wide slot (about half inch) for the j-hook. Do you know if these have the wide slot? Thanks

RE: wiper blade replacements

Thanks for replies. I have checked with local NAPA store and their heavy duty truck store but no luck. Also checked several parts stores locally with no luck. Raymon did the ones you ordered have the wide slot? I think it is about 12mm or so. The guy at NAPA measured and the slot was about half inch.

wiper blade replacements

I need replacement blades for MH. Currently have Dyna 28" blades that have the wide (about half inch) slot for the j-hook. Where can I find replacements with the wide slots. Thanks

RE: GS Emergency Roadside Assistance

Jetboater, I was grabbing for straws as it was very hot and no a/c. As I said I called my other ERS and got no help. I had no luck locating a mobile tech on my own. I was looking thru my wallet for the number of a friend who lived a couple hours away when I saw the GS ERS card. I just said to myself that it could not hurt to try them. The lady that I spoke with, and I wish I could recall hername, was exceptional in trying to help me find a tech. I know that others have had bad experiences with GS ERS, but for me, it has been good. And I agree, they should state they will try and help members find a tech, it would be great PR for them. The goodwill would help offset some of the negatives that take place.

GS Emergency Roadside Assistance

A few days ago I had a problem and needed to find a Mobile Tech. I tried on my own to locate one with no luck. I called GS ERS and a very nice lady there went out of her way to help me . She took time to find several mobile techs in my area, gave me the contact info and told me that if I could not get a tech from those names given, to call her back and she would try to find somewone else for me. I might mention I had already called another ERS that I have and they flat offered no help of any kind. I have only used GS one other time and the service provided (flat tire repair) was very good. I was considering letting GS drop but now think I will keep it.

RE: Camping World Locations

Has Dustys RV in Florida been bought by Camping World? I just tried to get to Dustys website and CW popped up.
