RE: Meguiars RV Waxes/Polishes

As Far as Waxing them:
You can wax over vinyl stickers, decals and graphics if they are smooth and glossy in appearance. For those that are matte finished it's best not to wax over the.
A couple of things to look out for:
* Pointed edges on decals can be prone to lifting if rubbed over too often and once they lift, it's pretty much game over for that decal.
Dark colored graphics against dark paint (think red on black, etc) may show dried wax along the edges that you'd have to clean up with some Quik Detailer and a soft brush. Not a serious problem, just a little extra detail work.

RE: Meguiars RV Waxes/Polishes

Not sure why the RV wax/polish would be any different than the auto wax/ppolish since they're both doing the same thing. I use Meguiars Golc Class on trucks and RV. It's the easiest and best I've ever found.
the difference between rv/marine and auto wax/polish is night and day. A modern gel coat is about 25 mils thick and extremely hard, much harder than automotive paint (which usually has about 2 mils of clear coat). Cleaners and compounds designed for gel coat use are far too aggressive for use on automotive paint, and most all auto paint products just don't have the cut needed to really affect a positive change to these ultra hard, and ultra thick, gel coats.

RE: Waxing

I have just purchased a new 5th wheel and they want to do a Platinum Shield Paint Protection. It protects against sun fading and is guaranteed against Fading or Oxidization.
sounds just like any other high quality type waxes. if you don't mind me asking, how much r they charging you to do the Platinum Shield Paint Protection?

RE: ?? on Fuel Gauge for Fuel Station/Generator

Rocking the switch back and forth occasionally will get it to work.
If you know how to wire things, reverse the wiring and see if you can get a reading off the other tank.
If the switch continues to not read anything in the "failed" position, replace the switch. If the problem moves to the other side of the switch, then you have a problem with the sender.
The other possibility is the tank is empty.
i will try and reverse the wiring. the genny tank is definately full...

RE: ?? on Fuel Gauge for Fuel Station/Generator

I have a weekend warrior hauler as well and the generator is fed by the fuel in the fuel station, so the fuel gauge is the same for both.
right, there is only one fuel gauge for both. but when i check the generator gas level, the gauge needle doesn't move.

RE: ?? on Fuel Gauge for Fuel Station/Generator

What works??? Can you be more specific...clear?
i have 1 fuel gauge when i want to check the fuel levels for the generator and fuel station. when i want to check the fuel station gas level, i push up on the button. for the genny, when i push down on the button, i usually get a reading, but this past weekend, the needle wouldn't move. hope this sounds more clear... :D
