We will be there for all three days. There are places to fill at the fair grounds. There is some full hook up areas behind the horse barns but doubt these will be used as they are always full. I am fairly confident there will be a plce to find water. I dont plan to haul the water with me either(and I only live 20 minutes away)
RE: External water tank?
Well on my fith wheel I had built a small rack on the rear bumper (welded to the frame). I then strapped on a 60 gallon freshwater tank from tractor supply. I only use it for NASCAR Races or where i am dry camping. For the most part anywhere i go there is a water fill on site so i have never traveled down the highway with water in it. I currently just pump the water to the camper with an external pump, but this spring I plan to pex pipe it to the other freshwater tank and put a T in line so I can use the factory pump. I plan to put valves inline with both tanks, so i can shut one off and turn on one. This gives us close to 100 gallons.
We spent 14 days at Charlotte motor speedway and i had to dump it before i left :)
RE: Enclosed bathroom
We have an enclosed bath at the rear of the fith wheel and love it. If my wife gets up early and wants to shower or anything it doesn't bother me. Also nice for friends at the site as our bedroom is still seperate.
