RE: Add songs to iPod without using iTunes?

I dislike Ipod and itunes. But, my daughter now has an ipod. Here is what I do, but I am SURE there is a better way. Itunes will see any MP3 or music file you have on your computer. We buy all of our music from Amazon and keep it on their "cloud". After buying I will download it to an external hard drive. once downloaded, as soon as I open ITunes, it recognizes the newly downloaded song, and I can pop it into her playlist and sync the device.

RE: Hello Im new here.

I'm a green country Okie myself! Welcome! Lots of info here. I live by Blue River, near Tishomingo.
I grew up in OKC. My Mom lives in Crystal (between Durant and Antlers). Lots of Family around there. As a kid we camped by the blue river a couple of times. Also, my father and brother went to Murray in Tish...or MIT as dad liked to call it.
Welcome!

RE: Omaha, NE...things to do

Some things - Lots of activities around the CWS and Old market will be crowded. I think there is a winery close to springfield I think you will Drive by on the way up to Omaha.
The Zoo is very nice and large, I think it is a two day affair if you want to see everything. They just built a new aquarium there I think....Also in the same area is an IMax if you want...
There are casino's right across the river in Council Bluffs.
You should walk across the Bob Kerry Pedestrian bridge, very close to the stadium.
Other campsites - there is a KOA in Gretna, probably no spaces left. Two Rivers SRA, small state park. Also Mahoney State Park, probably the same distance away as Louisville. It is a very large park with a lot of stuff to do, fishing, hiking, indoor playground and outdoor pool with slides and other things. IT is right next to the SAC museum and also a Drive Through Zoo(I have never been there).
One of the things I think is under-rated in Omaha is the resturants, lots of good locally owned places. Also, if you are into brewing, you may want to visit Lucky Bucket brewery for a tour or stop by Upstream Brewery for supper.

RE: Over Weight?

People always mention Insurance when it comes to be overweight. Has there been a case where an insurance payment was not made or lawsuit won for being overweight and in a wreck?

RE: More things equal more problems

get an enzyme cleaner used to clean up pet stains. It will dissolve any of the organic matter.
We use Petzyme and it breaks it down and gets rid of the smell.

HAHA, me either. Camping in Nebraksa during a husker game - lots of TVs on at the campsites.
If we here close by, we would have joined you!

RE: Enclosed ATV Trailer

We use a 24' Haulmark trailer for our racecar. I see lots of haulmarks out there. Also I have heard H and H are good. C-Leigh is right, check the tires and their load range. I have also heard some trailers have undersized axles so you might check that. If we upgrade I will skip out on the wood floor and try to get aluminum. We don't have enough tie downs either, I am looking into installing some E-Tracks.

RE: Utah to Colorado

So this is not northern colorado, but last summer we camped in Gunnision, CO. We drove up to Taylor lake. On the map it is taylor park reservoir. I think east and south east is BLM land? we saw a lot of dispersed camping out there. We headed over to Tin Cup, Mirror Lake and drove over one of the passes. Lots of ATV's and we also saw rafting down the Taylor River.

RE: Campfire meals for kids ~ Ideas please :)

I bought a cheap replacememnt grill grate, one of the round styles. I will prop it over the fire and will cook anything I would grill at home. Our favorite, and has become a tradition, is get a pork loin and slice it in about 1/2 inch slices. Marinated in a gallon ziplock with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and sometimes oregano. Grill about 5-10 minutes a side, the kids love them.

We like Flaming Gorge, there are some huge lake trout that are catchable without a boat. I remember seeing some people boondocking maybe on the northwest side of the lake?

RE: Inexpensive Kids Toys? Foam Planes, etc.....

For glow in the dark bubbles.
Break open a glow stick and pour into the jar of bubble solution. It will make the solution glow at night. Kids love it to have bubbles they blow being lit up.
Cherry
I am trying that!!!

RE: southern Kansas, Ok, & NM

I went to College 10 miles southwest of Guymon....and there is not much there. Guymon will have Diesel and any amenities you need. Liberal is a bigger town in the area and would also have anything needed. You would also not be very far from Dodge City, you could visit Boot Hill if you were interested in that. As you probably know from driving I-40 through the Texas panhandle, get ready for lots of wind!
No way Panhandle A&M. Me to but was only there a year
I was there 4 years, I liked it, but it is not for everyone!

RE: 2002 Suburban 8.1 / 4L80E

Difference is I would have a paid off truck in the next year, rather than paying on one for 5 years.
That would dramatically help my decision making process!

RE: Inexpensive Kids Toys? Foam Planes, etc.....

Things we use - soccer balls, footballs(nerf for that age). We often have a mini game of two hand touch break out. We have a giant (2 ft across?) frisbee that has soft edge and fabric center, our 5 year old loves that. We have done the glow sticks, and they are a lot of fun! I also like the foam airplanes, may have to get some of those!
We often camp where it is sandy, so any buckets and shovels are a big hit.

RE: First timers-Arkansas/Oklahoma weekend getaway

I would suggest going to the Ardmore/Sulphur area, particularly Turner Falls, Arbuckle Reservoir and the Arbuckle Mountains. Your kids will love Turner Falls. To this day it's one of my favorite places. You can google "Arbuckle Mountains" and find other places and campgrounds. I hope you have a great trip!
Miles
X2, went here several times growing up, very good for that age of kids to let them explore a little. Also don't forget Arbuckle Wilderness!
We also had fun at devils den exploring the caves!

RE: Got Hail last night, with Pics, Do I need to patch?

Sorry, I was trying to say I am anticipating it taking a while to actually get fixed. I talked to my insurance guy who already had over 40 calls this morning. Just curious if that side drip rail thing really needs to be temporarily covered before getting fixed.
