Slide out storage weight?

I have a 36' gas class a. My living room slide is 12'. I was wondering how much weight can I reasonably store in the compartments under the slide without affecting the operation of the slide?

exterior detail in phoenix

I am looking for a detail shop that does at least a three stage process of actually removing the oxidation, polishing, waxing and sealing the exterior. We have an 2004 Monaco Monarch. We have had several people tell us in the past they were able to do this, but none have been able to do it. They always just wash and wax with poor results.
So if anyone in the Phoenix area has found a shop that actually does do the right process and has had good results removing the oxidation I would appreciate your input.

atlanta to fort dix,nj

Is there a good route from north Atlanta to Fort Dix,NJ avoiding D.C and other major cities. I was thinking of taking 77 out of Charlotte to 81. But I have never been to that part of the country. Any problems with this route? Thanks.

RE: Charging house batteries

update: After leaving it plugged in all night and day on a 15a plug at home they still would'nt take a charge. Took them back to Sams and exchanged them for new ones. I suspect I might have a bad converter. Its a Progressive Ind 9160 and its 8 yrs old. I think I will change it 0ut for a 9260 which is a multi stage converter. Thanks for all your help.

Charging house batteries

I have two 6v house batteries hooked in series. They show 11.2. I checked the water level and I needed to add distilled water.
The question: What is the proper way to charge them. Should I leave them in series and set the charger on 12v or totally disconnect them and charge them each on the 6v setting?

Dash lights up like it is supposed to when starting. But there is no clicking or sound of any kind, it just lights up.

RE: Won't start?

We never even had a hint of a starting problem during the whole trip. When I went to start it, to put in storage nothing. The dash board does light up, but nothing. I have moved the shift lever many times and tried to start but nothing. Checked fuses nothing.

RE: Slide topper awning tension?

Thank you for all the help. We are on the road for the next few months. Might be too much of a project without the right tools and ladders. Hopefully they won't get ruined before we get home. If it gets too bad a may have to pull in some place and have them do it.

Can anyone tell me how to tighten the tension on my carefree of colorado slide topper awning? It is one year old and sagging, even when I pull in the slide. The MH is a 2004 and has end caps on the roller. Thanks

RE: 12 volt system died in Iowa

The Texan hit it on the head. The battery cutoff switch was hit by accident. Actually i feel kind of stupid because I kew it was there but i never thought of it until you mentioned it. Hit the switch and bam everything went on.
So thanks everyone. I did however learn alot about my 12v system. Great site.

RE: 12 volt system died in Iowa

It has a progressive 9160 converter, it has no reset button. I have unplugged and plugged back in. The converter does'nt seem to run very much. I don't have a volt meter but I'll be getting one today. Bummer not having 12v nothing works.

RE: 12 volt system died in Iowa

I should also ask. If the converter is bad, will that cut off 12v to the whole rig?

12 volt system died in Iowa

Last night our entire 12V system died on us. So that means no air, no lights until I figure it out. Myself and a couple of the guys in the cg could'nt find the problem. They seem to think it's a bad converter. We checked all the fuses but nothing blown.
So before I have to call someone on Sunday, maybe someone could give me some things to try first.
We have a 36' class a
