RE: DIY Stable Loads?

Yours look well made, aluminum? This is how mine look. http://i916.photobucket.com/albums/ad6/kawa900stx/truck%20and%20camper/2800lb%20Overload%20Springs/4ed980b1.jpg

RE: DIY Stable Loads?

you could try logging wedges.. drill through them to make a slot to clamp them on and they are available where ever chain saws are sold.. Hockey pucks are what I used. Double stacked. I have had them for 3 years now and they show no sign of wear.

RE: Host Mammoth Camper..

I sure wish mine had that nice long basement drawer. I wonder how the tanks are configured, must be saddle tanks.

RE: Host Mammoth Camper..

Looks nice, but I wonder why the pictures don't match the floor plan. Some of them look like the everest. The Host website isn't updated either.

RE: Advice for F350 DIY Stableloads

Thanks for the image, Farmerjon. I picked up 2x2 square tubing yesterday. I'm hoping to knock out this project this coming weekend. One more question for you please: how did you go about re-attaching the rubber bumper to the tubing? Looking like you've carved a slot in yours to accommodate it? May I ask how you did this? I don't have access to a plasma cutter or even an acetylene torch. So I'm hoping there's an easier way. That's why I used hockey pucks. I drilled and counter bored the bottom puck (I used four per side, two front/two rear) They have held up extremely well. And you don't have to worry about using the old rubber pad or have metal to metal contact on the perch.

RE: place to look for dometic freezer door

We had to replace a fridge in our 5th wheel a few years back. I am sure they would have whatever you need. http://www.gasrefrigeration.net/

RE: Stable loads or DIY overload bumpers

On the '99 to '02 Fords the hockey puck scheme worked very well for me. I believe the hockey pucks cost $2 ea, 8 required. I counter sunk the bolts into the surface of the pucks that contacted the spring. I believe I used 5/16" bolts. X2

RE: Show Me Your Articulating TV Wall Mounts

Even though I haven't mounted mine yet, I would think the bouncing and jarring from traveling would be too much for the mounting, I plan on removing the tv and placing face down on the bed. That said I would love to see more details on how the mount was screwed into the cabinets like the one posted above. Looking at mine it just doesn't seem stout enough.

RE: Show Me Your Articulating TV Wall Mounts

I bought mine from monoprice.com. I think it was 13.99. Good quality. Best cables too. I haven't mounted mine yet still need a tv too. here

RE: 2009 Ford F350 SD Crew Cab Lariat V8 6.4 L - TC question

Your welcome. I am not sure about the heavy duty cooling as on my 02 it was the rear sway bar and heavier front springs and camper cert that came with the package. Of course other packages could get you the same heavier springs and the rear sway bar but not the cert. Not sure on the newer ones though.

RE: 2009 Ford F350 SD Crew Cab Lariat V8 6.4 L - TC question

This will give you a PDF of the factory window sticker. I think it only goes back to 2008 MY vehicles, tho. click here Replace XXX with the actual VIN number in the address bar It should show whether it has the camper package or not and also list the GVWR.

RE: EternaBonded the roof!

Is this better used around the vents, AC skylights ect than using the self leveling caulk (is it Dicor). I haven't done recaulked my camper yet

RE: Matching Tire/Wheel Size to 19.5 inch Visions?

Nice! Thanks Are you running 7.5" wide or 8" wide Visions 19.5s? Sorry, had to call down there and ask, I have my records at home. They are 7.5". Also if you are having trouble finding them, do you have a Les Schwab? That's where I got mine and had them on in a week.
