RE: Dealer wants to buy my old axles and wheels

I would trade him the labour for the axles. They are no good to you and fat chance that you will find a buyer.

RE: Inexpensive tire covers ... giving them a try

We had the H/F tire covers, worked really well but got dirty. The wife decided to use the material from our old 9000 awning to make new covers using the old ones for a pattern. I ripped the wire form out and she will sew that into the new covers.

RE: Quality of Lowe's Torque Wrenches?

I am sure that the Lowes torque wrench is acurate to + or - 2 %. A wrench from Harbor Frieght for $25 will do you. You are not building a race engine.

RE: How and where do I junk my 1977 Komfort Kraft

Leave it in a Walmart parking lot. Don't lock it, maybe some homeless people will move it and claim it.

Why not just post it in Kijiji or something similar to give it away.

RE: What's the Best Allergy Medicine for Dogs...

I have my dog on a generic Benadrayl and give him a dropper of silver water. Last year I started to rub bag balm on his legs and I think that has insulated in skin from pollens. This year he is still scracthing and biting but he has no open sores. I hope the frost gets here soon.

RE: Looking for a printer

The wife came home with new cartridges for my H/P printer. $85 with tax for 2 blacks and a color. I told her to return them. I bought a black and a color from a refill dealer on eBay for $13. shipping in. This guy is my ink supplier now for ever. Never had much luck before with refills but these work excellent. Ordered some more for another H/P printer and they also are excellent.

RE: grey water into black tank ?

I use a third 3'' gate valve at the end of my sewer discharge pipe. It is available at all rv parts departments. Using this I can close this valve and open my gray and black tanks. The gray will fill into the black untill both tanks are equaly full. When I am finished I close the gray and black valves and when I am ready to dump I attach my sewer hose and open my third valve and my black valve and after the black is empty I open the gray. Gravity is great tool.

RE: US/Canadien Currency?

Use the currency exchange when you cross the border. Very fair service and no hassle. I once was at a MacDonalds in Canada and an American was told they don't take any US money over a $20.

RE: Leaking and Cracked Shower Skylight

Get rid of the cheap skylite and put in Fantastic fans. Best there is and if ever any problems with hardware or domes just call them and they will ship out new parts. The greatest and friendlyest company out there.

RE: Sampson tires -- any info?

The guy has enough money to buy a Teton but he doesn't have enough brains to buy a decent tire. Come on spend some money for some decent tires, if not for your safety how about my safety. Don't be so cheap.

RE: Just wet bolts

I did my wet bolt conversion 2 years ago. The shackles that come with the kit are twice the thickness as the originals. My nylon bushings from the factory were almost non existent. I bought my kit at a rally for $85. bucks. Takes 4 hours, be prepared for some slugging but you don't need a lot of smarts to do it.

I have to agree with you both that Fantastic is number 1. Support and service can't be beat. I have been to their plant in Imlay City a couple of time and they are the most friendly people.

RE: Pic of our Bike in a Raptor 3602

I looked at them this past spring. I really like the idea of a self contained extra living area. This is the unit that I would buy if the finances were working right. Congrats on having the trailer I want.

RE: Securing Honda eu2000i Generator

I like the Python locks. You can cinch them up tight. Wrap the lock around the gen through the handle under the gen. tight. and then put another cable through the Python and secure to your RV. The handle on the Honda can be cut through and a loose cable can be slipped over and the gen can walk away.
